Title: A day in the Workshop
Artist: Marvin L. Tiberio
Medium: DIY Organic inks ( squidink, annatto, blue Ternate)
Year: 2026
"The hands that mend our shoes often go unnoticed... but they carry stories of dignity, patience, and honest labor."
This painting is my tribute to every craftsman whose quiet work keeps people moving forward. Every stitch tells a story. Every wrinkle speaks of years of sacrifice.
What makes this work even more special is that it was painted entirely using organic inksโsquid ink, annatto (atsuete), and blue ternateaโnatural pigments that carry the colors of our land and sea. By using nature as my palette, I hope to preserve not only images but also our connection to the environment and to Filipino heritage.
This is more than a portrait of a shoemaker. It is a reminder that greatness is often found in humble places, and that every honest occupation deserves to be remembered.

Organic Art Elegance: A Decade of Artistry with Nature's Palette
For over ten years, I have challenged the idea that great art depends on expensive materials. Instead of commercial paints, I create my works using organic inks processed from natureโsquid ink, annatto, turmeric, and blue ternate flowers. Through years of experimentation, I have proven that extraordinary art can emerge from ordinary resources.
My advocacy is simple: creativity is not limited by what we can afford but inspired by what God has already placed around us. Every painting reflects sustainability, resourcefulness, and the beauty hidden in nature. My hope is to inspire artists to look beyond conventional materials, embrace innovation, and discover that true artistry comes from vision, not price.

No acrylics. No oils. No watercolor.
This artwork is painted entirely with organic inksโcrafted from squid ink and annatto (atsuete). Nature has always been the greatest artist; I'm simply borrowing its colors to tell a story.
Each brush stroke is a reminder that beauty doesn't always come from expensive materials. Sometimes, it comes from what God has already placed around us.
