Not every day in business needs a big decision.
Sometimes, you just need to pause, look at what's happening,
and give yourself time to think.

Kay usahay, ang clarity moabot ra when you stop rushing. 🌱

I learned that trust and protecting your business are two different things.

There was a time when someone ordered 400 trays of eggs from me.

He was introduced through someone I knew. He said they needed the eggs before they headed back to their city, and that he would pick up the stock at the warehouse.

Since ako mismo ang makig-meet niya didto, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and secured the 400 trays under my name.

But when the pickup day came, wala siya niabot.

Honestly, I wasn't worried that I couldn't sell the eggs. I knew I could find a way.
What hurt was the trust I had given.

Nakarealize ko nga dili tanan tao pareho ug pagtan-aw sa ilang words nga gibuy-an the way I do.

But I didn't want that experience to make me stop trusting people.
Instead, I learned something:

I can still trust someone but I need to protect my business first.

So I adjusted our operation and focused on finding ways to move the stock. We reached more buyers, offered the sizes they were actually looking for, and used the advantages we already had to make our offer more attractive.

It wasn't one big move.
Sunod-sunod lang nga small decisions based on what the market was telling us.
And eventually, we sold all 400 trays.

That experience taught me something I still carry in business.

Trust is important. But trust should never be the only thing protecting your business.

You can give someone the benefit of the doubt without giving them control of your business risk.

Random business thought today. 🫠

Sometimes, you don't need to change everything in your business. You just need to notice what's already happening and ask, β€œNgano kaha ni?” 🌱

Before the stock reaches your store, naa gyud na'y whole operation behind the scenes.
When we pick up fresh stock from our supplier, dili lang ni siya basta ibutang lang tanan sa vehicle.

You really have to think about how to use the available space properly.
Pero kinahanglan pud careful ka sa pag-arrange sa stock, kay basin mag shift while you're on the road especially kung naay mga bumps or uneven sa dalan.

So you're always thinking: How can I maximize the space without compromising the safety of the stock?

And sometimes, naa pa gyud kay unexpected challenges.

That's part of handling a physical product business.
You plan what you can, you protect what you can, and when something unexpected happens, you adapt.
It's not just about getting the stock. It's about getting it safely.

Happy Sunday. 🌱

Running a business means there's always something that could be done.
But not everything needs to be done today.

Take a breath. Rest. Reset.
Tomorrow, we continue. 🫢
Enjoy your Sunday.

Sometimes, you stock what customers ask for and they don't show up.

There were times na may customer na naghahanap ng certain size, so we made sure na may available akong stock for them.

Confusing sometimes, especially when you stocked based on a real customer request.

That's one thing I learned from handling inventory.

Customer demand is a signal but it doesn't guarantee the sale.
And when that happens, you can't just let the stock sit there.

You have to think strategically about how to move it before it becomes slow moving stock or worse leads to waste.

Inventory management isn't only about knowing what customers want.
It's also knowing what to do when demand doesn't happen the way you expected.

How do you handle products that customers asked for but didn't end up buying? πŸ‘‡

There were times na akala ko, the more stocks I had, the more prepared I was.

Until the market slowed down.

One of the lessons I learned from years of handling inventory:

Being prepared isn't about having the most stock. It's about having the right stock for the demand.

Hindi lahat ng β€œmore” ay better for the business.

31/08/2026

When β€œenough stock” is actually too much.

Inventory isn't simply about having enough stock.
It's about having the right stock, in the right quantity, at the right time.

Natuto ako nito through years of handling inventory.

Too much inventory can cost you money.
Too little inventory can cost you customers.

Kaya ang goal isn't simply to keep your shelves full.
The goal is to keep your inventory moving.

As a business owner, ask yourself:
β€œNagsto-stock ba ako based sa actual sales ko or based lang sa iniisip kong baka kailanganin ko?”

Ano ba talaga ang importante sa'yo when choosing a supplier?

Quality ng products or the way they do business?

After years of buying and selling, I've learned that having a long relationship with a supplier doesn't always mean you can get everything you ask for.

Why?

Because business isn't always about asking for favors. It's also about the trust and reliability you've built over time.

For you, ano ang mas importante sa supplier?

Sometimes, life happens.

I stepped back for a while not because I stopped caring, but because there were things in life that needed my attention.

Now, I'm slowly coming back to something I built. Essentialist Commerce has been quiet for some time, but the business behind this Page never really left me.

I'm taking things one step at a time and slowly bringing this Page back to life.

For those who are still here, thank youπŸ«‘πŸ™‚. There's more to come.
