LCCians officially welcomed the new academic year with a vibrant and festive welcome program, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter for the entire school community. Earlier today, students, faculty, and staff from the Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED) gathered at the St. Joseph Auditorium to commence School Year 2026-2027 following a successful three-day orientation.

The program opened with a solemn doxology by Prima Fusion, followed by the warm welcome remarks of the School Principal, Ms. Laria P. Doronila. To officially welcome the new School President, Sr. Mary Eden L. Gicana, to La Consolacion College Biรฑan, select faculty members and students showcased breathtaking song and dance numbers alongside heartfelt messages. The event also highlighted the formal introduction of the OSA sisters, lay administrators, Officers-in-Charge, and IBED faculty and non-teaching personnel.

Following the introductions, Sr. Mary Eden delivered an inspiring keynote address to the assembly. Highlighting LCC Biรฑan as a true second home for its students, she introduced a powerful anchor for the school year using the acronym H.O.M.E.โ€”standing for Hope, Opportunities, Meaningful journey, and Empowerment. Through this message, she challenged all LCCians to excel in everything they do and to always lead with good character.

Overall, the celebration culminated in an inspiring reminder of the true value of education, reinforcing that the school remains a dedicated sanctuary for nurturing students into good Augustinians.

Welcome back to school, dear LCCians! ๐ŸŸฆโฌœ

Earlier today, June 26, the entire La Consolacion Collegeโ€“Biรฑan community gathered at the St. Joseph Auditorium to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit, presided over by Rev. Fr. Jose Francisco Teves, OSA, marking the beginning of another positive and fruitful academic year. The Eucharistic celebration served as a moment to thank God for His abundant blessings, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and prepare students, faculty, and staff for a school year filled with faith, joy, hope, and success.

In his homily, Fr. Teves emphasized this year's theme, "Guided by the Holy Spirit, Living the Augustinian Way," encouraging the LCCian community to allow the Holy Spirit to lead their thoughts, decisions, and actions while embracing the Augustinian values of love, humility, unity, and service. United in prayer, the LCCian community entrusted the new academic year to God's loving care, ready to journey together with renewed faith, commitment, and excellence.

Annually celebrated, today marks a special occasion for the province of Laguna. Built from the legacy of our national heroโ€”Dr. Jose Rizal, Laguna Day showcases its provincial pride.

In honor of Rizal's birth anniversary as well as being his birthplace, Laguna Day is not just any holidayโ€”but rather a reminder of what we should not forget.

Rizal's profound display of nationalism, and intellectual revolt against the Spanish colonizers, became the light to the oppression that consumed the country. And despite his death, his legacy awakened the eyes of many Filipinos and more generations to come.

Beneath Rizal's story and influence lies a deeper meaning to Laguna Day, highlighting the pride and legacy within it.

On June 12, 1898, the Philippines broke free from the chains of the Spanish. After 333 years of oppression under Spanish rule, our country achieved independence as the flag was unfurled for the first time.

Liberty was not achieved with ease, but with the sacrifices of Filipinos who put their lives at stake to leave the shadow of our colonizers. Within more than three centuries were writers whose minds were the most powerful ink, revolutionaries whose blood painted a vivid image of bravery, and every person who strived to follow their footsteps towards freedom.

Although the papers have long yellowed and the weapons have gone rusty, their legacy remains a treasure to this day. With honor for our heroes, let us celebrate how we held hands with independence on this day, 128 years ago.

Paliparin ang kalayaan. Happy Independence Day, LCCians! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Around 1,993 years ago, inside a temple in the city of Jerusalem, the 12 chosen Apostles of Jesus were given greater responsibilities.

Today, May 24, 2026, is Pentecost Sunday. Celebrated 50 days after Easter Sunday and 10 days after the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Pentecost marks the day when the 12 chosen Apostles of Christ together with the other disciples were blessed with tongues of fire that symbolized the Holy Spirit.

This day is an important part of our history as Catholics because it marks the birth of the Catholic Church, the beginning of the teachings passed down through generations to the Saints, Holy Fathers, and ultimately to us. May this celebration strengthen our faith and guide us closer to God.

"Tolle, lege. Tolle, lege."

Exactly 1,640 years ago today, in a garden in the city of Milan, a brilliant but troubled man began the journey that would change his life forever.

Today marks the day our Patron, Saint Augustine of Hippo, converted to a life of faith. After hearing the voice of a child chanting, โ€œTolle, lege. Tolle, legeโ€ ("Take and read; take and read"), he felt called to abandon his sinful path and begin a new chapter.

The moment he surrendered his will in 386 AD profoundly impacted the course of history. His conversion led to countless others, his elevation to Doctor of the Church, and a legacy of teachings that offer a timeless perspective on our relationship with God.

โ€œYou have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.โ€

Easter Sunday is the most important celebration in Christianity. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion on Good Friday.

This Easter Sunday, we celebrate the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, a powerful reminder that no darkness is too great and no burden is too heavy when we hold on to faith. His resurrection brings us hope, renewal, and the promise of a new beginning.

Just like the empty tomb, may our hearts be filled with light, courage, and unwavering trust in His plan. Let this day remind us that after every trial comes victory, and after every storm, there is peace.

Wishing everyone a blessed and meaningful Easter Sunday. May your hearts be renewed, your faith strengthened, and your lives filled with love and grace.

Black Saturday is the day in Holy Week that commemorates the time when Jesus Christ lay in the tomb after His crucifixion.

It is a solemn day marked by silence, mourning, and deep reflection, a moment between the sorrow of Good Friday and the hope of Easter Sunday.

On this day, there are no celebrations, only quiet waiting. It reminds us of the in-between moments in life, when we feel lost, uncertain, or in darkness. Yet even in this stillness, faith remains strong, and hope is quietly being prepared.

Black Saturday teaches us that even in silence, something meaningful is happening. Let this day be a reminder to trust the process, to remain patient in times of uncertainty, and to hold on, because light is coming.
