𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝟮 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 𝗜 𝗢𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 of Pavia Fire Station rendered an Exit Call to the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 Regional Director, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗣 𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗦, on October 5, 2026, prior to his participation in international fire service competitions and training in Sanming, China.

FO2 Oducado will join five other BFP firefighters who will represent Team BFP Philippines in the 2nd International Fireground Survival Championship, scheduled on October 19–25, 2026, in Sanming, China. The competition will provide an avenue for participating firefighters to demonstrate their technical skills, physical preparedness, discipline, and operational capabilities in fireground survival scenarios.

Following the competition, FO2 Oducado will also participate in the Compartment Fire Behavior Training from October 26–31, 2026, in the host city. The training aims to further enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in understanding fire behavior within enclosed spaces, contributing to safer and more effective firefighting operations.

The BFP Region 6 extends its full support and best wishes to FO2 Oducado and the other members of Team BFP Philippines as they represent the country on the international stage. Their participation reflects the Bureau of Fire Protection’s continuing commitment to developing highly skilled, competent, and well-prepared firefighters in pursuit of excellence in fire and emergency response under the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, Officer-In-Charge.

Personnel of Pavia Fire Station, FO2 John Henry I Oducado, served as one of the lead instructors during the Modern Fire Ground Tactics Training held in San Jose, Antique from September 30 to October 2, 2026.

The three-day training covered guidelines and operational practices in:

• Structural Firefighting Tactics and Strategies
• Hydrocarbon Fire Response
• Lithium-Ion Battery and Electric Vehicle (EV) Fire Response

The training focused on strengthening firefighters’ knowledge, decision-making, tactical application, and operational safety through practical, risk-based fireground strategies for conventional and emerging fire hazards.

The activity enhanced their knowledge and practical skills in securing loads, rescue systems, and ensuring operational safety, further strengthening their readiness and effectiveness in responding to various emergency situations.
