The BFP Samal Fire Stations recently completed their ORSITE Inspection and Skills Assessment to ensure peak operational preparedness. Spearheaded by Davao del Norte Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT VILNER N AVILLON, the evaluation tested the tactical, emergency response, and firefighting skills of personnel supervised by City Fire Marshal, FCINSP DIANA ROSE N MAMON. This continuous training highlights our commitment to keeping our firefighters capable, and ready for any emergency.

September 15, 2026 | Emergency First Aid Training at Rainbow Breeze Beach Resort
Personnel of the BFP Samal Central Fire Station, under the leadership of FCINSP DIANA ROSE N MAMON, City Fire Marshal, successfully conducted an Emergency First Aid Training (EFA) for the staff and management of Rainbow Breeze Beach Resort on September 15, 2026.
The training focused on equipping participants with vital lifesaving skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), proper choking response techniques, and basic life support protocols. By strengthening the first-responder capabilities of our local tourism partners, we continue to ensure a safer, more secure environment for both locals and tourists visiting our beautiful island.

September 10, 2026 | The IGACOS Central Fire Station and its sub-stations, under the leadership of FCINSP Diana Rose N. Mamon, successfully took part in the 2026 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).
Following the sound of the alarm, BFP personnel and auxiliaries swiftly executed the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure before executing an orderly evacuation to the designated safe area. Once at the evacuation site, a strict accounting of all personnel was conducted, and valuable office assets were safely secured.
This activity complies with Republic Act No. 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010) and NDRRMC Memorandum Circular No. 15, s. 2026. Regular drills like the NSED are vital to testing our communication, evacuation, and security protocols, ensuring our team is always equipped to protect lives and secure resources when disaster strikes.
