Personnel of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Cyber Response Team, under the supervision of Team Leader, PCPT Esteban E. Belarmino, under the direct supervision of PCOL Miguel M. Guzman, Chief of RACU 3, served as Resource Speaker during the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled “Orientation on Anti-Cyberbullying and Responsible Use of Social Media” for the school personnel and teachers of Sto. Tomas Elementary School, Sto. Tomas, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, on August 28, 2026.

The activity focused on strengthening awareness of cybercrime prevention, online safety, and the responsible use of digital platforms. The discussion also covered applicable laws, Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE), and the Warriors Against Cybercriminals Auxiliary Force (WCA), including preventive measures against cyber-related threats.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, underscored “Teachers, school personnel, and community stakeholders are our vital partners in protecting our children in the digital environment. By strengthening awareness, promoting responsible online behavior, and encouraging early intervention, we can collectively prevent cyber-related threats and foster a safer and more secure cyberspace for our youth.”

On August 28, 2026, personnel of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Cyber Response Team, led by PCPT Esteban E. Belarmino, Team Leader, under the direct supervision of PCOL Miguel M. Guzman, Chief of RACU 3, served as Resource Speakers during the 8th PTSC National Convention: Langen-Langen 2026 held at the CBC Plenary Hall, PhilRice, Brgy. Maligaya, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

The activity focused on cybercrime prevention, gender-related concerns, peace and order, and community safety, covering common cybercrime schemes, preventive measures, and proper reporting procedures. Participants were also briefed on Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE), bomb threat response, and the risks associated with the illegal selling or misuse of SIM cards, bank accounts, and e-wallet accounts, emphasizing vigilance, protection of personal information, responsible digital and financial practices, and active community participation in preventing cybercrime and other emerging threats.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized, “Building safer communities requires informed and vigilant citizens. Through continuous awareness and strong cooperation among law enforcement, government agencies, and community stakeholders, we can prevent cybercrime, counter radicalization, and strengthen public safety.”
