Mace and Luzelle’s wedding did not turn out as planned — what with the crazy weather! But for me, its the spontaneity, the liveliness amidst the unexpected downpour, and the just the pure joy out of the chaos, which made this celebration indeed the wedding to remember! 😊

After all, weddings are more than just the glam, the exquisiteness, and the precision of the occasion. It’s about the people who would stay by your side, willing to huddle in a makeshift hall with you, sing a ca****la for you, and party with you until the rain is over! 🌧️

Surprise birthday party for Doc Rina! 🎉

Doc Rina has always been the lowkey type — on her birthdays, she would always just visit the church, have a simple meal with the family, and probably just at work giving her usual passionate service to patients and clients.

But on her 60th birthday last night, her siblings didn’t want to let this milestone just pass. Few days earlier, Doc Mary Badar called me up, “Japi, we’re going to do a surprise party for my ate! Can you be our emcee?”

You don’t say no to your dentist, right? 😂 and so without second thought, “Let’s do it, doc! Let’s do that surprise!”

And surprise we did! 😍 Doc Rina had no idea at all!

Indeed, reaching such age — and still very productive and vibrant at that — is a feat worthy of celebration. With the dearest people around her on the evening of her 60th — her family and relatives, SLC highschool batchmates, fellow Zontians, La Union Medical Society family — it was indeed a happy happy birthday for Doc Rina! 🎂

Glittering like gold at 50! ✨
