𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 1810September 2026 at MAJ JILBERT L DEFENSOR (AGS) PA, Director, 1702CDC, together with 1LT RONALDO P DADAYA PA (Res), Tactical Officer, and Dr Ronald P. Sanqui, EdD NSTP Director, Rexel L Calay Rotc Coordinator conducted coordination with Dr. Elbert C. Edaniol, EdD, University President. The activity focused on ROTC policies, procedures, student management, and other ROTC-related concerns. The coordination was conducted to clarify responsibilities, address concerns, prevent miscommunication, and ensure proper implementation of ROTC activities.

A separate coordination visit was also conducted with Veronica C. Ferrer, EdP, SAS Dean, to meet the new CDC Director of this unit and discuss the requirements and rules and regulations governing the program.

An internal briefing was thereafter conducted with ROTC Cadet Officers at the DMST Office, emphasizing compliance with policies and avoidance of violations to maintain the good image of the ROTC Program. The activity ended at 1130H on the same day.

❗𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 ❗

Please be informed that there will be no ROTC training this Sunday (20 September 2026) to give way to the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) at Occidental Mindoro State University (OMSU).

The schedule for the next training will be announced after the examination. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 13 September 2026, the 2nd Training Day was held at the OMSU Labangan ROTC Unit. The day began at 0600H with the formal inspection of the ROTC Officers.

At exactly 0700H, all Basic Cadets reported to the OMSU Labangan Main Campus, the Basic Cadets formed up in front of the Grandstand for the morning attendance and basic drills. At 0730H the GMA and 1CL held at DMST Office to have a meeting about The ROTC Matter and Compliance lead by 1LT RONALDO P DADAYA PA (RES), Tactical officer together with Cpl Jerwin P Nerizon (Inf) PA tactical Nco and the ROTC Coordinator Rexel M. Calay, CSP the meeting lasted until 0930H.

And After the attendance and basic drillings of the cadet at 0930H they proceeded to the Student Nook of the OMSU. This was followed by a lecture conducted by Pvt Maria Fe V Carbon, PA (Res), covering Military Courtesy and Discipline, and Pvt Rose An P Nicolas covering Military Leadership. The lecture started at 1030H, followed by a short break for the Basic Cadets. The lecture then continued until 1200H. At exactly 1230H, all Basic Cadets were officially dismissed.

The said activity was successfully conducted under the supervision of ROTC Coordinator Rexel M. Calay, CSP, and monitored by Dr. Ronald Francis C. Sanqui, NSTP Director.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 06 September 2026, the 1st Training Day was held at the OMSU Labangan ROTC Unit. The day began at 0600H with the formal inspection of the ROTC Officers.

At exactly 0700H, all Basic Cadets reported to the OMSU Labangan Main Campus. From 0700H to 0900H, the Basic Cadets formed up in front of the Grandstand for the morning attendance and basic drills.

After the attendance and basic drills, from 0900H to 0930H, the Basic Cadets proceeded to the OMSU Gymnasium to have their ROTC Cards checked and recorded for attendance monitoring. This was followed by a lecture conducted by PVT Mark Anthony A. Jimenez, PA (Res), covering Military History, AFP Organization, and the Chain of Command.

The lecture started at 0930H, followed by a short break for the Basic Cadets. The lecture then continued until 1130H.

From 1130H to 1200H, the Basic Cadets also conducted their officer elections. At exactly 1230H, all Basic Cadets were dismissed.

The said activity was successfully conducted under the supervision of ROTC Coordinator Rexel M. Calay, CSP, and monitored by Dr. Ronald Francis C. Sanqui, NSTP Director.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: On 04 September 2026, a Clean-Up Drive was conducted at Aroma Beach, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro from 0600H to 0730H. The activity was participated in by OMSU ROTC Officers, together with San Jose PNP Personnel, in observance of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week with the theme “Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities”.

The participants worked together to collect and properly dispose of waste in the area to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness, discipline, and civic responsibility. The activity was successfully completed through the cooperation and active participation of all those involved. The said activity was supervised by Sgt Elizado M Dell Rosario Jr (Inf) PA, TACTICAL NCO, and monitored by ROTC Coordinator Rexel M Calay, CSP.
