Bilang bahagi ng Division Schools Press Conference na ginaganap dito sa LGU Santa Maria Ilocos Sur, naging masiglang pasyalan at sentro ng lokal na pagkain at pamimili ang Sta. Maria Town Plaza🍴🛍️

Mula sa masasarap na lokal na pagkain hanggang sa mga produktong sulit iuwi, pinagsama-sama ng fair ang mga lokal na lasa, mga lokal na negosyante, at masiglang diwa ng Sta. Maria.

Tampok din sa fair ang Santa Maria OTOP, at pakikilahok ng Puso ti Kababaihan, at Rural Improvement Club, na naghandog ng iba’t ibang lokal na produkto, masasarap na pagkain, at mga gawang nagpapakita ng talento, sipag, at pagkamalikhain ng ating mga kababayan.

Hindi ko talaga inexpect na ganito kalayo ang maaabot ng entry ko sa TouREELSmo 🥹

As of 6:20 PM today, 91K views and 2.6K reactions na, and honestly, ang nakakatuwa, kahit tapos na ang voting period at heart reactions lang ang counted, hanggang ngayon, patuloy pa ring nadadagdagan ang views at reactions.

Hindi ko alam kung saan pa ito aabot, pero sobrang saya ko na seeing so many people discover Bukayo for the first time.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮🥹🧡

A quick stop at the famous Batac Riverside Empanadaan yesterday turned into a memorable conversation with Nanay Gloria ‘Glory’ Aduana Cocson, considered to be the OG who have been selling empanadas for 66 years! ✨

One thing I learned from her is that the empanada we know today wasn’t always the same. She shared that her old recipe included “aramang”, but she eventually removed it after customers told her they had allergies. She also adjusted the amount of “munggo” because some of her regular customers had gout.

I found that story fascinating. It shows how her empanada didn’t just become famous because of its taste, it evolved through years of listening to the people who kept coming back.

An honor to meet one of the women who helped shape the Batac empanada into what it is today, just in time for Tourism Month! 🫶🏼

Freshly cooked and served hot at Kohi Galleria! Their palabok is already sulit, pero yung fried chicken? One of the best fried chickens I’ve tasted! Walang exaggeration. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and super sarap hanggang sa last bite. 😋

What makes it even better? Relatively affordable, kaya perfect for a satisfying meal without draining your wallet.
