Seeing Alex Eala’s determination to fight and win today’s National Bank Open fourth-round match was already enough to ease our broken hearts. 💗🎾🇵🇭

As much as we wanted to see her win, a part of us also wanted her to rest. Kaya hindi gaanong kumikirot ang puso natin, dahil ramdam natin sa aura at mga galaw ni Alex na kailangan na muna niyang magpahinga.

Get your well-deserved break, our dear Alex, and celebrate your Mubadala DC Open victory. You deserve it! 🏆💗

Thousands of Filipinos swarms Toronto!

Alex Eala was overwhelmed by the support she got from Filipinos in the on-going 2026 Toronto Open (National Bank Open).

In an interview after her match, the interviewer had an opening remarks saying: "This is your first time playing here and look what you've done to the place! Not a bad experience here, how are you enjoying yourself?"

Alex replied and shouted: "Kamusta kayo ngayon, Toronto!? Wagayway niyo nga yung mga bandila niyo, patingen!"

"Wait I don't know if they understood that, but there are so many Filipinos in the crowd tonight, so many flags, thank you!" she said with a teary eye.

Filipinos are one of the best sports fans around the world, no matter what sport are you playing, if you are playing international there will be fellow Pinoys to support you.

God bless you always Alex 🇵🇭🎾🫰🫰🫰🙏🙏

📸 Shot of the Day

Alex Eala stretches for one last effort after slipping on the grass, refusing to give up on the point during her historic victory over defending champion Iga Świątek at Centre Court.

Credit to the photographer who captured this incredible moment. The athletes make history, but the photographers behind the lens preserve it for the world to remember. They deserve their flowers, too.

If anyone knows who captured this amazing shot, let us know so we can update the post. 📷👏
