Opisyal nang naibulsa ng Philippine Women's Soft tennis team ang unang medalya ng bansa sa 20th Asian Games matapos ang kanilang bronze medal finish sa women's team event.

Sumandal ang National team, na binubuo nina Bien Zoleta, Princess Catindig, Christy Sanosa, Shyryn Salazar, at Hilary Paas sa kanilang impresibong kampanya sa group stage na nagsiguro ng kanilang puwesto sa semifinals at podium ng naturang event.

Princess Catindig and Noelle Manalac delivered the Philippines’ first medal of the 2026 Asian Games, securing bronze in the women’s team event in soft tennis on Sunday.

The historic finish also marked the country’s first-ever Asian Games medal in soft tennis. Despite falling to reigning champions Japan in the semifinals, the Filipinas secured a place on the podium at the Higashiyama Park Tennis Center.
