This month, OPAPRU's "Let's Pause for Peace" campaign invites Filipinos to take a moment to reflect on the value of peace and remember that building peace starts with all of us.

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝑫𝒂𝒚, nakiisa ang 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑱𝒂𝒊𝒍 – 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝑭𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 sa isinagawang 𝑾𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉-𝑳𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Santa Rosa bilang pagkilala at pagpupugay sa kabayanihan ng mga Pilipinong nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bayan.

Sa pamamagitan ng simpleng pag-aalay ng bulaklak, muling binigyang-halaga ang sakripisyo, katapangan, at pagmamahal sa bayan na ipinakita ng ating mga bayani. Higit sa pag-alala sa kanilang mga pangalan, ang kanilang buhay ay nagsisilbing halimbawa at inspirasyon upang tayo rin ay magsikap na gumawa ng mabuti, maging matatag sa hamon ng buhay, at maging kapaki-pakinabang sa ating kapwa at bayan.

Ang tunay na diwa ng kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa malalaking sakripisyo, kundi maging sa maliliit na kabutihang ginagawa natin araw-araw. Sa paggunita sa ating mga bayani, nawa’y maging inspirasyon nila tayo na piliing gumawa ng tama at mabuti, sapagkat sa bawat mabuting gawa, buhay ang diwa ng kabayanihan.
