Strengthening Firefighters Through Data-Driven Health Care
Through the accreditation of the PhilHealth YAKAP Program, the BFP Region 1 Health Service successfully conducted a more comprehensive health profiling and screening of personnel across the four provinces of Region 1.
This initiative significantly strengthened our health database, allowing the Health Service to clearly identify firefighters who require focused monitoring and preventive interventions against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and gout.
The results now serve as a critical foundation for evidence-based health programs, enabling the implementation of targeted wellness strategies, regular monitoring, and early interventions to safeguard the health of our personnel.
Because in public safety service, protecting those who protect others begins with protecting their health.
