The Municipality of Tangalan proudly received copies of its Cultural Mapping Books on June 19, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Visayas.

The Cultural Mapping Project of Panay, Guimaras and Negros Occidental championed by Senator Loren Legarda, Tangalan’s invaluable cultural treasures, traditions, historical landmarks, and community stories have been documented and preserved for future generations.

This initiative strengthens our commitment to safeguarding our identity while promoting cultural awareness and pride among Tangalananons.

The Municipality extends its gratitude to Senator Loren Legarda, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, University of the Philippines-Visayas, Aklan State University, cultural workers, researchers, and all stakeholders who contributed to this meaningful endeavor.

These books serve as valuable repositories of the town’s history, traditions, heritage sites, cultural practices, and the stories that define the identity of the Tangalananon people.
