𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝟭ˢᵗ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆

The United School of Science and Technology Colleges, Inc. ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 𝟏ˢᵗ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 of 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟏 on 𝟏𝟗 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐜., 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐫𝐨, 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The training began with refreshing and practicing a variety of command sequences and drills to all cadets with the assistance of ROTC cadet officers who ensure proper ex*****on of basic commands and movements.

Following the completion of the practical drills, 𝐂𝐩𝐥 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) delivered a vital instruction on the 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐀𝐅𝐏) 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬, underscoring that military excellence extends beyond tactical proficiency to include unyielding moral integrity.

Through this lesson, the cadets were reminded that 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫, 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲, 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫, 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐲, and 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 form the ethical foundation of every soldier, guiding their decisions both on and off the field. She emphasized that upholding these values is essential for building personal character, fostering teamwork within the ranks, and maintaining the trust of the nation they are preparing to serve.

Following the first lesson, 𝐂𝐩𝐥 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) conducted an instructive session on 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, emphasizing that these long-standing practices form the bedrock of military discipline, identity, and esprit de corps.

The lesson detailed how foundational protocols—such as rendering proper salutes, observing military courtesy, adhering to the chain of command, and honoring heritage—instill mutual respect and unity within the ranks. She highlighted that these time-honored traditions are not mere formalities, but vital symbols of professionalism that connect today’s cadets to the noble legacy of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Inspired by her guidance, the unit gained a deeper appreciation of their responsibility to embody these principles as disciplined future leaders of the military institution.
