Pencak Silat debut sparks fierce showdown in DiCNHS Intramurals

DIGOS CITY — Pencak Silat made a commanding debut as an official event in the Digos City National High School (DiCNHS) Intramurals, as student-athletes showcased skill, determination, and sportsmanship in a series of highly competitive bouts and artistic performances.

In the Class A Girls division, Julie Rose (Grade 7) outdueled Tiffany Arellano to capture the gold medal, while Cris Gabriel Abangan (Grade 7) outlasted Xian Sosmeña to clinch the Class A Boys championship.

The Class B division sustained the intensity as Dianna Genova (Grade 10) overpowered Sophia Sarmiento to seize the girls' title, while Ian Coronado (Grade 10) overcame Kyle Barro to claim the boys' crown.

The Grade 10 squad executed a commanding routine to secure the Regu (Artistic) gold medal, while the Grade 7 team turned in a composed performance to earn the silver medal.

Tournament Manager Noel Villarta spearheaded the successful staging of the sport's inaugural intramurals competition, marking a significant milestone in expanding DiCNHS' athletic program and providing learners with another platform to excel in martial arts.

May mga pangarap na tila pansamantalang pinatahimik ng panahon—naisantabi ng mga responsibilidad, sinubok ng mga pagkakataong hindi dumating, at nabalot ng mga taong lumipas.
