“Veil of the Tide”
•Mixed Media: Acrylic and Texture (crashed egg shells)
•10in x 8 in
FOR SALE (5% goes to charity)
Veil of the Tide explores the delicate boundary between what is revealed and what remains hidden beneath the sea. The luminous whites and soft aquas evoke the shoreline bathed in light, while the richly textured blues and greens suggest the unseen depths shaped by time, currents, and marine life. The heavy impasto creates a tactile surface that mirrors the ocean floor—its reefs, sediments, and evolving landscapes.
The title reflects the tide as a metaphorical veil: with every ebb and flow, it uncovers fragments of the coast only to conceal them once again. This continuous rhythm speaks to nature’s quiet cycle of revelation and mystery, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty that exists beyond what is immediately visible.
