May 25, 2026 | The Municipality of Virac warmly welcomed the delegates of the 𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐌 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐧𝐨𝐧: 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 – 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩 during their first stop at Midtown Inn Beach Resort in Barangay Batag, Virac.

As part of the immersion, delegates were introduced to Catanduanes’ rich culinary heritage through a food presentation and cooking demonstration of 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, one of the province’s distinct local delicacies, showcasing the unique flavors and traditions deeply rooted in the Happy Island’s food culture.

The Provincial Government of Catanduanes, under the leadership of Governor Patrick Alain T. Azanza, through the Provincial Tourism Office, extends its sincere gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Virac headed by Mayor Sinforoso M. Sarmiento Jr. for hosting the warm welcome reception and dinner for the delegates, reflecting the municipality’s support to the province’s continuing efforts in strengthening gastronomy tourism and cultural appreciation.

Through every shared meal and culinary story, Catanduanes continues to celebrate the people, traditions, and communities behind its flavorful identity.
