جنوبی ایشیا اور جنوب مشرقی ایشیا میں خواتین اور نوجوانوں کی قیادت، فیصلہ سازی اور نمائندگی کے فروغ سے متعلق منعقدہ Inter-Regional Dialogue کے دوسرے روز پاکستان کی نمائندگی سابق وزیرِ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی گلگت بلتستان ثریا زمان اور رکنِ قومی اسمبلی و سیکریٹری جنرل ویمن پارلیمنٹری کاکس محترمہ شاہدہ رحمانی نے کی۔

محترمہ شاہدہ رحمانی نے خواتین کی سیاسی شمولیت اور قیادت، جبکہ ثریا زمان نے نوجوانوں کی قیادت اور بااختیار بنانے کے حوالے سے پاکستان کا مؤقف پیش کیا۔

دو روزہ کانفرنس بہترین گفتگو، مؤثر پریزنٹیشنز اور تعمیری تبادلۂ خیال کے بعد کانفرنس کا اختتام اختتامی تقریب کے ساتھ ہوا۔ یہ جنوبی ایشیا اور جنوب مشرقی ایشیا سے تعلق رکھنے والے شرکاء اور نمائندگان کے تجربات سے سیکھنے اور علاقائی تعاون کو مزید مضبوط بنانے کا ایک قیمتی موقع ثابت ہوا۔

پاکستان کی یہ مؤثر شرکت خواتین اور نوجوانوں کو قیادت، فیصلہ سازی اور ترقی کے مساوی مواقع فراہم کرنے اور علاقائی تعاون کے فروغ کے قومی عزم کی عکاس ہے۔

On the first day of the Inter-Regional Dialogue on Advancing the Transformation of Gender Social Norms to Enhance Women and Youth Participation and Representation in Leadership and Decision-Making in South Asia and Southeast Asia, Suraiya Zaman the former IT minister Gilgit Baltistan and Ms. Shahida Rehmani, Member of the National Assembly and Secretary General of the Women Parliamentary Caucus, represented Pakistan.
Ms. Shahida Rehmani contributed to the dialogue on women's political participation and leadership, while Suraiya Zaman represented Pakistan on youth leadership and empowerment. Their participation highlighted Pakistan's commitment to advancing gender equality, strengthening women's representation in leadership and decision-making, and empowering young people to play a greater role in shaping the region's future.

It was an inspiring opportunity to engage with leaders and changemakers from across the region, amplify our perspectives, build meaningful global connections, and contribute to important conversations on advancing gender equality and inclusive leadership.
