The final destination within the home is its most personal space, a master suite designed as a retreat from the rhythm of everyday life.

A restrained material palette of warm timber flooring, textured walls, soft fabrics, and carefully integrated lighting establishes an atmosphere of comfort and quiet sophistication. The stone feature wall behind the bed becomes the room’s focal point, framed by minimal detailing that emphasizes proportion rather than ornament.

Rather than relying on excess, the design prioritizes balance, tactile materials, and thoughtful detailing, creating a space that feels both contemporary and timeless.

As the spatial sequence unfolds, the family lounge becomes the most intimate shared space within the home. Located beyond the arrival experience and the kitchen, it offers a sense of retreat while remaining visually connected to the heart of the house.

The open-plan layout balances connection with comfort, allowing the kitchen, dining island, and lounge to function as one continuous living environment. A dedicated reading nook introduces a quieter moment within this openness, creating a space for pause, conversation, and everyday rituals.

Through restrained materials, layered lighting, and thoughtful planning, the design aims to make openness feel warm, personal, and lived-in.

Arko Residence | Interior Series 2 | The Kitchen & Family Hub

The kitchen at Arko Residence is designed as more than a place to cook, it’s the social heart of the home. As the natural continuation of the double-height entrance and living space, the open-plan kitchen connects with the dining island and family lounge, encouraging interaction and togetherness.

At the center is a generous monolithic island that serves multiple functions: dining, entertaining, and everyday family life. Dark textured cabinetry provides a sophisticated backdrop, while warm walnut finishes and subtle bronze accents add depth and warmth. The bold amber pendant lights introduce a refined statement, creating a focal point above the island without overwhelming the space.

The openness of the ground floor allows the kitchen to remain visually connected to the entrance, staircase, living room, and dining areas, reinforcing the home’s philosophy of openness, continuity, and shared living. Every material and detail was selected to balance timeless elegance with everyday functionality, making the kitchen an integral part of the home’s architectural experience rather than a separate room.
