Reference in honour of Justice (Retd.) Fazal Karim (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), a former Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan who passed away on 6 August 2023. Justice Karim is notable for authoring two treatises on law, 'Access to Justice' and 'Judicial Review of Public Actions'. A highly knowledgeable, competent, and upright judicial officer, Justice Karim started his career as a Civil Judge in 1960. He was elevated to the Lahore High Court in 1987 and to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1993, from where he retired in 1996. He also served as the First Parliamentary Secretary to the Government of Uganda from 1974 to 1976. He also remained a Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague, Netherlands. | 🇵🇰
