As collections explore softer, more understated neutrals, Silver Birch offers a clean and contemporary direction for denim and apparel.

Its clean, balanced tone works naturally with tonal neutrals, earthy shades and deeper seasonal colors, giving collections room to explore both subtle and contrasting combinations. The shade takes inspiration from Cloud Dancer, Pantone’s Color of the Year 2026, carrying its sense of simplicity, clarity and calm into a versatile neutral for contemporary apparel.

At MG Apparel, environmental considerations are reflected in the way we manage our facility and manufacturing operations.

Our on-site Miyawaki Forest includes more than 1,500 trees across 26+ native species, adding a diverse green space within the facility. We also have 2.4 MW of installed solar capacity and operate from a LEED Platinum-certified facility with 87 points, incorporating resource-efficient practices into our built environment and operations.

On the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, we recognize the role that energy, resource management, and operational choices can play in reducing environmental impact.

This month’s Garment of the Month brings together 60% Recycled Cotton and 40% BCI Cotton in a classic dark-indigo denim. The garment is finished using a Stone-Free Enzyme Wash combined with an alternative Potassium Permanganate process, achieving the desired denim character while reducing reliance on conventional finishing methods.

The deep dark-indigo wash, traditional five-pocket construction and contrast stitching retain the familiar look of classic denim, while the recycled and BCI Cotton blend and the alternative finishing processes reflect the material and process choices behind the garment.

SS27 denim is seeing a renewed focus on decorative detailing, embellishment and craft-led expression, with embroidery emerging as one of the directions shaping the category.

At MG Apparel, this direction is explored through pixel-inspired floral embroidery, a familiar floral motif reinterpreted through a contemporary digital lens.

The development uses computerized embroidery with small, graphic floral motifs placed across deep indigo denim, creating a distinctive contrast between the classic denim base and the pixel-inspired floral treatment.

Over six weeks, our RiseShip Internship Program gave interns the opportunity to experience different parts of MG Apparel, from production-floor visits and department placements to hands-on projects and final presentations. Moving between these experiences helped connect the dots between individual roles and the wider apparel process: how different teams, skills and decisions come together to take an idea from one stage to the next.

That broader perspective was at the heart of the RiseShip experience, giving young talent a closer understanding of the industry and where they can contribute within it.
