Voices United for Energy Security & Clean Mobility
At the Public Forum “Breaking Free from Imported Fuel: Ensuring Energy Security and Clean Mobility,” participants came together to sign the Charter of Demands reflecting a shared commitment to practical solutions for Pakistan’s energy and transport challenges.
The Charter calls for affordable clean energy, concessional financing for electric vehicles, greater investment in renewable energy, and reduced dependence on imported fuels.
Parliamentarians, academia , civil society representatives youth representatives , civil society and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) joined in support of a cleaner, more affordable and inclusive energy future.

Grow Green Network urges SBP to launch EV financing policy, calls for early retirement of RLNG plants

Doaba Foundation, a member of the Grow Green Network, in collaboration with Indus Consortium, organised a Public Forum titled “Breaking Free from Imported Fuel, Ensuring Energy Security and Clean Mobility.”
The forum brought together policymakers, parliamentarians, academia, civil society representatives, youth groups , environmental activists, civil society financial institutions, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to discuss energy security and clean mobility.
Participants called for concessional EV financing, electrification of two and three wheelers and rickshaw/rider networks, and greater investment in renewable energy. The forum also urged reducing dependence on RLNG-based power generation and accelerating the transition towards indigenous solar and wind energy.
The forum was attended by Muhammad Ajmal Khan Chandia (MPA & Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education and MPA PP 628), Sabeen Gull Khan (Former MPA), Dr. Muqarrab Ali (Associate Professor, Department of Climate Change, MNS University of Agriculture, Multan), Javed Iqbal (Manager Programs, Doaba Foundation), Ghulam Mustafa (CEO, Farmers Development Organization), Aamer Saeed Ansari (Former MPA) Ms. Shaista Bukhari (President, WRA), Sumaira Sattar (Incharge, Sanat Zar), Muhammad Iqbal Saho (Social Welfare), Dr.Samreen (Emerson University) Ameer Hamza (Mainstream Organization) and representatives from City University, MNS University of Agriculture, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan Bar, youth groups and OPDs.

Members of the Provincial — Ms. Rashda Lodhi, Parliamentary Secretary for Specialized Healthcare, and Ms. Shagufta Faisal, MPA — visited climate-resilient and inclusive WASH interventions implemented by Doaba Foundation in Lodhran with the support of WaterAid Pakistan. The interventions include community-managed RO water filtration plants, Girls-Friendly Toilets (GFTs), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) toilet blocks, and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) models. During the field visit, the parliamentarians interacted with communities, reviewed the operation, maintenance and sustainability of RO plants, and discussed the contribution of GFTs to girls’ dignity, attendance and education. They appreciated the focus on safe drinking water, hygiene, community ownership and sustainable WASH solutions.
Following the field visit, a coordination meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Lodhran Muhammad Ashraf and Ms. Shazia Hayat Tareen, , was held at the DC Office. The meeting brought together parliamentarians, relevant government departments, WaterAid Pakistan and Doaba Foundation to review ongoing WASH initiatives, strengthen coordination and advance sustainable, climate-resilient WASH solutions for communities in Lodhran and Dunyapur.

Doaba Foundation, in collaboration with Tayaba.org , Tayaba International Welfare Association, is providing Wheels to water collectors to reduce the physical burden and daily struggle of carrying water over long distances.
The H2O Wheels are being provided to women through the Village WASH Committee Thada Thaem and Ghulam Qadir Wala, District . The H2O Wheel enables women to transport a larger quantity of water more easily and safely, saving their time, energy, and physical effort.
This initiative aims to promote dignity, reduce the burden of water collection, and contribute to improved , , and of women in underserved communities.
Through this intervention, Doaba Foundation and Tayaba.org are working together to make water collection safer, easier, and more dignified for women

اس سال کے موضوع "عالمی یکجہتی کو مضبوط بنانا اور مقامی لوگوں کو بااختیار بنانا" کے تحت سرگرمی میں بحران سے متاثرہ افراد کو انسانی امدادی اقدامات میں فعال شرکاء، شراکت داروں اور مقامی رہنماؤں کے طور پر بااختیار بنانے پر توجہ دی گئی۔
دوآبہ فاؤنڈیشن کا منشور ہے کہ بحران سے متاثرہ افراد صرف امداد کے مستحق نہیں، بلکہ وہ شراکت دار اور ہنگامی حالات میں اولین مددگار بھی ہیں۔

Doaba Foundation observed World Humanitarian Day 2026 on 19 August in District Lodhran through a community awareness and engagement activity.
Under the theme “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities,” the event focused on empowering people affected by crises as active participants, partners, and local leaders in humanitarian action.
People affected by crises are not only beneficiaries they are partners and first responders.

🌍 World Breastfeeding Week 2026 | Supporting Mothers, Nourishing Every Child 🤱💧
Doaba Foundation commemorated World Breastfeeding Week 2026 under the Climate Resilient, Inclusive & Sustainable (CRIS) WASH Project – Phase IV in District Lodhran through community awareness sessions held from 1–7 August 2026.

The sessions engaged pregnant women, lactating mothers, caregivers, Community Health Workers, and Village WASH Committee representatives to promote the importance of breastfeeding for maternal and child health.

Participants were sensitized on exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months, early initiation of breastfeeding, continued breastfeeding with complementary feeding, and the importance of family and community support.

The activity highlighted the strong link between breastfeeding, nutrition, safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.

Together, we support mothers, nourish children, and build healthier communities. 💙

Punjab Charities Commission organised a capacity-building and interactive session in Multan for 160 NGOs from 16 districts of Southern Punjab. Held in collaboration with Doaba Foundation Multan and Sukh Development Foundation, the session promoted learning, dialogue and stronger cooperation for meaningful community development.
