Pakistan marks its independence today on August 14.
Freedom means having access to health, learning, and the ability to earn a living. Mukhtar A. Sheikh Trust builds this foundation for the people of Southern Punjab every day. We do this through our dispensaries, schools, and vocational centers.
The work is hard.
When a community has clean drinking water from local filtration plants and young girls receive education at the Fatima Model School, the entire region grows stronger and more independent over time. Independence is an action. We train individuals in our vocational centers to give them financial control over their own lives. Empowered people make a better country.
