On this day of freedom, as we celebrate Pakistan’s independence, let us not forget those regions where peace is still a distant dream. In Bajaur and across the Pashtun belt, innocent lives continue to suffer amid military operations and waves of violence .
Today, we also demand from the Government of Pakistan to immediately end military operations in these regions and stop the killing of innocent civilians. True independence means freedom from fear, oppression, and violence.
