This video shows the complete upgrade of a Blue Elephant 1325 CNC with the Opt Lasers PLH3D-XT8 45 W blue diode laser system.
walks through the real installation process, including CNC controller preparation, mounting the laser head, wiring, system configuration and the first cutting and engraving tests.
This project also contributed to the development of a dedicated Opt Lasers solution for Blue Elephant CNC machines, allowing users to add professional laser cutting and engraving capability to an existing CNC router.
The PLH3D-XT8 is a high-power blue diode laser head designed for demanding CNC cutting and engraving applications. With approximately 45 W of optical power, it combines high cutting capability with a compact, industrial-grade all-metal construction.

The previous connection video had been around for several years, so it was time to refresh it. The good news is that the setup itself is still very intuitive.
In the new video, Hugo shows the whole process clearly — mounting, wiring, UCCNC setup, working-distance adjustment and the first laser test.
The same connection principle can also apply to other Stepcraft M-, Q- and D-Series machines using the same controller and connection configuration shown in the video.

We’ve just published a new connection and setup video for the Stepcraft M.500 with the PLH3D-XT-50.
Our previous installation video was already several years old, so it was definitely time for an update. The connection process itself is still intuitive, but we wanted to show it again in a clearer, more up-to-date format.
In this new video, Hugo walks through the whole process step by step - from mounting and wiring to the first startup and low-power test - in a very clear and easy-to-follow way.
What is important here is that the connection method shown in the video is not limited only to the Stepcraft M.500. The same connection principle can also apply to other Stepcraft models - including Q-Series, M-Series, D-Series, and other machines using the same configuration as the one shown in the video.
If you use a Stepcraft CNC or are planning to add a laser to your machine, this guide is a great place to start.

New video: PLH3D-XT-50 installation on a Laguna IQ CNC with MASSO controller
In this setup, we show how an Opt Lasers PLH3D laser system can be integrated with a Laguna IQ CNC equipped with a MASSO controller.
The creator used the PLH3D-XT-50 in this installation, but the Laguna IQ can also be configured with other Opt Lasers heads, including the PLH3D-XT8 45 W, depending on whether the priority is high-resolution engraving or maximum cutting performance.
The video covers the practical setup, including:
• laser mounting
• MASSO controller connection
• cable routing
• Air Assist
• laser control setup
• preparation of the CNC for laser operation
This gives the Laguna IQ an additional laser cutting and engraving process while keeping the original spindle workflow.
