🧬 Bioinformatics workshops – practice that makes an impact
On 16–17 April, our specialists – Martyna Ciołek and Jarosław Grządziel – conducted bioinformatics workshops dedicated to practical skill development.
Over the course of two intensive days, participants expanded their knowledge and gained hands-on experience in areas including working within the BaseSpace cloud environment and the practical application of the DRAGEN platform for secondary analysis of NGS sequencing data.
The level of interest in the workshops exceeded our expectations, clearly highlighting the growing demand for this type of training. Foundational competencies in bioinformatics data analysis are becoming an essential component of the work of every researcher utilizing NGS technologies.
We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, active involvement, and for sharing valuable insights throughout the sessions.
We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

Is the mycobiome an underestimated part of the microbiome?
Although it represents only a small fraction of the human microbiota, the mycobiota plays an important role in maintaining health. Disruptions in its composition have been linked to gastrointestinal disorders, inflammatory conditions, and other systemic diseases. Despite this, it remains significantly less explored than bacterial communities.
As research advances, conventional analytical methods are often no longer sufficient. This is where Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) provides a powerful alternative, enabling deeper and more accurate insights into complex microbial ecosystems.
The Mycobiota Solution from Arrow Diagnostics has been designed to support comprehensive mycobiome analysis in a streamlined and efficient workflow:
- simplified and robust protocol
- fast and reliable library preparation
- compatibility with NGS platforms from Illumina
- optimized for targeted fungal community profiling
By enabling high-resolution analysis of fungal populations, this solution supports researchers and laboratories working in microbiology, clinical research, and translational science.
