We used to subscribe mostly to entertainment. Netflix, Spotify, maybe one more streaming platform.
Today, the list is much longer: cloud storage, office software, design tools, password managers, fitness apps, media, delivery services - and now AI too. 👀 Each subscription seems small on its own. The problem starts when we add them all up.
The subscription model was supposed to make digital life easier. Instead, it is slowly becoming a permanent cost of being online. We no longer buy many digital products. We rent access to them - and when we stop paying, we often lose the tools, features and habits built around them.
So maybe the real question is not how many new apps we need. It is how many of them truly deserve a permanent place in our budget. 💰

Amsterdam, here we come. Again. 👋
From 11-14 September, our N7 team will be back at IBC 2026 - one of the key global meeting points for the media, entertainment and technology industry.
Last year, IBC gave us exactly what we were looking for – valuable conversations, new connections and the chance to meet, in one place, people facing similar challenges across the media & entertainment industry. That’s why we’re coming back to Amsterdam this year!
You’ll find our team on-site: Marcin Kocoń, Łukasz Mosdorf, Dawid Kołodziejczyk and Safa Bouabid, ready to talk about technology, media, AI and everything in between.
📍 RAI Amsterdam
📅 11–14 September 2026
Will you be there too? Come and meet our N7 team! And if you’re planning to visit IBC, we have free Visitor Passes for our guests. Drop us a message/ scan the QR code and see you in Amsterdam. 👋

Imagine buying a car worth several hundred thousand euros, driving it for 20 kilometres… and then parking it for good.
Sounds absurd. Yet in the media industry, we often do something very similar with content. 👇
We invest in broadcasts, interviews, podcasts, reports and programmes. They generate attention for a few hours or days - and then quickly disappear beneath the next wave of new publications. Not because they have lost their value. Because they have become harder to find.
🔍 According to Chartbeat and Tubular Labs, most of the 27M+ analysed news articles generated 80% of their total pageviews within the first 24 hours. After 48 hours, their initial traffic cycle was almost over. But the content is still there - often alongside years or even decades of archived material. And that is where the real challenge begins: how do we make valuable content discoverable again?
Traditional search still relies heavily on titles, keywords, dates and manually assigned tags. Meanwhile, users often remember only fragments, context or intent. Google says that 15% of daily searches are queries it has never seen before. That is why the future of content discovery is not only about storing more content. It is about helping users find the right answer inside the content we already have.
This is one of the topics we will be discussing at in Amsterdam - also in the context of our Content.Search solution. Because sometimes the best answer was published five years ago. The real challenge is making sure it can still be found. 🚀

💭 Lately, we’ve been talking about the kind of content we actually enjoy spending time with online.
And surprisingly, most of us are going back to longer formats: podcasts, newsletters, in-depth posts and analyses that do more than just give us the headline.
For years, the internet kept getting faster. Complex topics became 15-second videos, three bullet points or a quick carousel. Useful? Sometimes. But often we’re left with the feeling that we learned something, when we only scratched the surface.
Maybe that’s why longer content is finding its place again. Not because people suddenly have more time, but because they want context, reliable sources and someone who can connect the dots. 🔍
Short formats are still great for grabbing attention. The problem starts when the summary becomes the whole story. People are still willing to spend time on content. It just has to be worth it. ☝️

🚀 We've been collaborating with Viva Wallet since 2020, supporting the development of software for payment terminals and mobile apps.
Viva Wallet is one of the most innovative payment service providers in Europe - it lets businesses accept card payments, use POS terminals and online payment gateways, and manage their finances through business bank accounts.
Our team works on Android and iOS app development, staying closely aligned with the Viva Wallet team so new features can reach users as quickly as possible. 🤝
This is a great example of how we operate - fast, flexible, and fully committed, no matter the scale of the project. 💪

We were supposed to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently. Yet more and more often, it feels like we spend the entire day… organizing work instead of actually doing it.
Slack, Teams, Jira, Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Miro, Loom… New productivity tools appear nonstop, all promising better communication, structure, and control. And honestly, most of them are great on their own. The problem usually isn’t the technology itself. It starts when companies try to “fix” work by adding more layers of statuses, boards, checklists, notifications, and meetings.
As a result, modern work increasingly looks like this:
➡️ updating task statuses,
➡️ replying to messages about tasks,
➡️ attending meetings about tasks,
➡️ documenting meetings about tasks.
Somewhere in between all of this, we still have to find time for actual thinking, analyzing, and creating. An entire layer of “meta-work” has emerged - work around the work itself.
And paradoxically, the more systems and synchronizations we add, the harder it becomes to achieve something that once felt natural: focus.

The media industry has thousands of conferences - but only a few of them stay with you long after they end. 🔥
NEM Dubrovnik 2026 was one of those events. This year, N7 joined New Europe Market - NEM, with Dawid representing us - and he came back genuinely energized by the experience!
For a few days, Dubrovnik turned into a place where the media industry connected not just on stage, but mostly through conversations. Events like this have something you simply can't plan into an agenda: an atmosphere where people genuinely want to exchange knowledge and experience. 🔝
👉 The real value came from the discussions and the exchange of insights and perspectives - conversations with representatives from Nielsen, MediaSpurs, Wiztivi, KLim IT, and bunny.net showed just how diverse and dynamic the approach to media technology is across Europe today.
This was one of those trips you come back from with your head full of new ideas and connections that actually matter. Flawless organization, passionate people, and plenty of inspiration for the months ahead. 👏
See you at the next edition!
We especially enjoy projects where technology has a real impact on everyday user experience - and our collaboration with CityFit was exactly that kind of project. 💪
Together, we created a new in-app communication experience designed around real user needs. The app now includes features like activity dashboards, quick access to key functions, an advanced class calendar with a waiting list system, and Push notifications integrated directly into the communication center. 📱
Today, it’s often these seemingly small details that decide whether an app becomes part of a user’s daily routine or gets deleted after a few weeks. Because users no longer compare products only by features. They compare the convenience, speed, and overall experience of using them.

“Check it in AI” is slowly becoming the new “Google it”.
More and more users, especially younger generations, search on TikTok, check reviews on YouTube, and ask AI instead of using traditional search engines.. 📱
And this is much bigger than just a change of tools. It’s a change in expectations:
➡️ people want answers, not links,
➡️ they prefer watching over reading,
➡️ they expect a faster path from question to decision.
For over 20 years, Google has been the main gateway to the internet. Today, that model is starting to shift - faster than many companies still realize. 📈
