WASIU

1 year ago today, I tore my Achilles tendon playing basketball.

The 4 months that followed was a journey of its own. Was in a short film where I played the lead (premiering at TIFF this month!), had surgery, learned how to get around on a scooter, played Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in a boot with 𝖆 𝖕 𝖆 𝖘 𝖍 𝖊 & an orchestra , got my cast & stitches removed, started physio, and spent countless hours in the gym making sure I’d be ready to jump and dance on stage for the next tour.

It was a difficult series of events, but I was determined to get back on my two feet. You don’t realize how much of a privilege something as simple as walking is until you can’t do it anymore.

I’m incredibly grateful to God, my family and friends for helping me through the recovery, and to all of you for continuing to support me throughout it.

Anyway… as y’all can see, I’m back to jumping and dancing on stage like my normal energetic self 😂

And I can’t wait to show y’all what else I’ve been up to during this time 👀

The Majestix at the most Majestic venue yet Théâtre antique d’Orange

Thank you 𝖆 𝖕 𝖆 𝖘 𝖍 𝖊 for making this a show for the ages! Can’t wait for the next adventure
