The first weekend of September brought the team of "The Inception of Learning" project to a very charming and "out of season" quiet Herceg Novi in Montenegro. We worked intensively to polish all the results created during the project and be able to present them to the World very soon! Besides that, we were soaking up the atmosphere of Herceg Novi and glancing at Comics Festival, which was happening at the same time.

We are looking for volunteers aged 18-30 to join our European Solidarity Corps project in Warsaw, starting on 1 September 2026.

You can choose between two types of activities:
- supporting teachers and children in a kindergarten,
- supporting families of people with disabilities as part of a respite tourism project.

If you enjoy working with children, active travel, discovering new places in Poland, or would like to support people with disabilities and their families, this project may be for you.

The volunteering can last from 2 to 12 months.

The final day of communiCARE 5.0 was a time to celebrate the journey we had shared together.

In the morning, we explored the role of appreciation and gratitude in Nonviolent Communication. Afterwards, participants met for the last time in their Home Groups to harvest their learning, reflect on their personal journeys, and celebrate everything they had experienced during the week.

Later, we looked ahead. We talked about dissemination, future steps, and different ways to continue learning and practising Nonviolent Communication beyond the training.

We closed the programme with a reflection on our learning, how we want to integrate NVC into our everyday lives, and a final sharing circle where everyone had the opportunity to offer their last words to the group.

The training ended with the Youthpass ceremony, celebrating the personal growth, meaningful connections, and unforgettable moments we created together.

Day 5 of communiCARE 5.0 was dedicated to practising empathy in challenging conversations.

In the morning, participants explored different ways we can listen during conflict and experienced how changing our focus can completely transform the quality of a dialogue. They also observed a demonstration of an empathy process, seeing how empathic presence can support connection, even in difficult situations.

The afternoon and evening were devoted to practice. Participants worked in small groups on real-life situations, preparing for important conversations, exploring challenging relationships, and supporting one another with empathy and role plays.

Today, we completed the last of the four core components of Nonviolent Communication by exploring requests. We reflected on what makes a request clear, doable and genuinely different from a demand.

Later, we brought all four components together using the educational workbook developed within the Erasmus+ project "From Conflict to Connection", in which our organisation is a proud partner. The tool gave us an engaging way to practice observations, feelings, needs and requests while learning from one another.

On the day three, we explored three of the four core components of Nonviolent Communication: Observations, Feelings and Needs.

There were many valuable reflections, moments of learning, and opportunities to look more deeply at what is happening within us and around us. We also experienced how identifying feelings and needs can help us move beyond judgments and towards greater understanding of ourselves and others.

Today, we dove deep into the heart of NVC to learn about and experience empathy. Many interesting reflections and insights were shared about its essence and various techniques for entering empathic dialogue. We also shared when it is challenging to enter one.

Today, we also want to celebrate contribution, learning, growth, freedom and community, and the abundance of needs met during the day.

communiCARE is back! Today, we started the 5th edition of our flagship training on empathic communication rooted in NVC by Marshall Rosenberg. The heatwave didn't stop us from exploring our surroundings and ourselves. Today, 22 people started their reflective journey towards peace with themselves, with others, and towards bringing peace to their communities.

Midsummer is coming and we are very happy to have long, long days, because there is a busy summer ahead of us! In between of international trainings, we are organising some local activities and one of them took place on 6 and 7 of June in Kraków.
That weekend was dedicated to what is closest to our hearts - empathic communication. 11 participants got to know the basics of empathic communication and learnt about "From Conflict to Connection" project, which we are part of for two years already. As you may remember, during this project we were working on a game to support you in thriving through conflicts in the organisational setting and not only.
