Ida Mathilde Steensgaard - OCR Athlete

6 days in Austria summed up in 10 photos 🇦🇹✨

The training 🏋️‍♀️

Focus: more is not better, better is better - in the APC we focus on the small improvements. A lot of the training and testing centered about training more specific, removing the unnecessary and adding the extra that’s focuses on athlete longevity 🤝

15 min WU
5 x (3min-2min-1min-30s), 45s break - working on different intensities 📈

Let me take you for a walk into the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centers Gym 🏋️‍♀️

Recovery here is TOP 🔝

Besides the doctors and physios here - we have availability to recovery machines.
For my knee I especially focused on the shockwave, compression boots and GameReady❤️‍🩹

My coach Tamas Kelemen helped me focus for athletic longevity: restoring full range of motion, joint mobility and movement quality across all planes🤝

In peace with the water and the mountains ⛰️

Fueling! ⬇️

The most important topic I discussed with my Nutritionist was Fueling around intense training, prioritizing carbs 30 min before and within 30 min after, especially on double-session days 🤝

ON X Tempo Pro Hybrid Racing Shoe ➡️ Now live on the On website 👟✨🤍

Built for hybrid racing, the Tempo Pro brings together some seriously cool features: Missiongrip™, a full-length Carbon Speedboard® and a locked-in fit designed for speed 🤓👏

Grateful to be heading into my second season as an On athlete 🤝 Beyond the products, there are some incredible people behind this brand, and it’s been so cool to see how closely they work with their athletes - including creating THIS shoe together with Alexander Rončević | Hyrox Elite Athlete 👏🙌

Denmark’s biggest morning TV show 📺

Four years ago, I was invited onto this TV show after becoming double European Champion in OCR in 2022.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being back at Go' morgen Danmark & Go' aften Live, this time to talk about a completely different challenge 🎡❤️

The Ferris Wheel project was already almost a month ago 🤯 Here are some of my recent reflections ⤵️

🎡 Big things can start incredibly small. I got this idea one New Year’s Eve, randomly being mesmerized by a Ferris wheel and wondering if I could climb it 😂

💭 Don’t dismiss the crazy ideas. I almost didn’t dare to pitch this one, but the worst answer you can get is a no. Be stubborn about finding solutions — sometimes you’ll get many NOs before you finally get the YES 🫶

🧭 The potential outcome outweighed the risks. We had no idea if obstacles could even be built on a Ferris wheel, let alone whether it would be possible to complete them while it was rotating.

🤝 No big project is an individual achievement. Just like an athletic career can’t be built alone, you need a great team behind you!

✨ Keep creating new chapters. Challenge yourself often… sometimes the journey itself is the most rewarding part 👏

Thank you to TV 2 & Go' morgen Danmark & Go' aften Live for having me back for a second time 🥹❤️

OFF Season vibes 🫶🧡🌅

Going directly into my Red Bull Ferris project after the Hyrox World Champs in Stockholm, I’m finally after finalizing the Red Bull Phetlevan this Sunday taking some well deserved vacation (in my opinion 🤭)

Special moments from Stockholm 💜🤍📸

Just taking in all the incredible moments from this weekend — wow, there were so many 🥹

I’m hugely grateful for my performances, but even more for all the special moments surrounding a race weekend: the preparations, activations, and countless laughs shared with amazing people 🫶

Feeling incredibly blessed to be part of this beautiful sport, and so impressed by the professionalism of HYROX Official 🤝

A little downtime is on the agenda now, but summer is packed with exciting projects, adventures, and travel. Feeling very grateful for this life 🫶
