Sebastián Tagle Ciudad

A social and economic development policy-maker with 14 years of international experience, specialising in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), capacity-building and evidence-based policies. Has designed and implemented approximately 100 programmes reaching around 30 000 SMEs and start-ups across the globe. Some programmes intersect with related themes such as immigration, women’s empowerment or indigenous peoples. Holds an Oxford MPP and a PUC-Chile MBA.

Piotr Krysiak:
"I build and scale complex systems across global finance with a founder’s bias for ex*****on, impact and long-term value.

By day, I’m one of six global Solution Architects responsible for Custody at the world’s largest custodian. I lead the Engineering organization in Poland, designing and scaling large-scale platforms operating in highly regulated, mission-critical environments.

What drives me goes beyond architecture. I focus on leadership at scale: translating strategy into reliable delivery, building organizations that can execute under complexity, and growing teams that consistently turn ambitious goals into operational reality. My work connects systems, people and incentives into cohesive, high-performing organizations.

Alongside my enterprise role, I actively work with AI in practice and in education. I lecture on AI at Universities, focusing on real-world adoption: governance, process automation, decision support and responsible deployment in regulated environments.

Outside of corporate structures, I’m an entrepreneur, mentor and ecosystem builder. I co-create digital products, support early-stage founders and help startups move from prototypes to scalable, value-generating businesses particularly in healthcare and digital services.

In Wrocław, I serve as a local leader of ABSL DTT club, connecting technology leaders, practitioners and institutions to accelerate the shift from a knowledge-based to a value-based innovation economy."

👉Michał Jeska:
Michał evaluates the potential of innovation projects, designs and manages programs that support their development, and works closely with teams to guide solutions from early-stage concepts to scalable implementation and real-world impact.
With a background spanning entrepreneurship, corporate innovation, and academia, he has extensive experience in building and scaling health-tech initiatives. Prior to this role, Michał served as Chief Growth Officer of the Medical Innovation Institute, where he focused on growth strategy, startup support, and ecosystem development across the CEE region. Earlier, he held roles at Roche IT Poland and uPacjenta, leading user experience and product innovation in healthcare.
Michał holds a degree in law from the University of Warsaw and combines strategic thinking with a strong focus on innovation and commercialization of healthcare solutions.

✨Tomek Popów - an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and manager.
He began his career as a software developer, and subsequently co-created and scaled tech projects in the fields of gaming, cloud computing, and mobile applications. He is the co-founder of the venture capital fund RST Ventures For Earth and an active investor supporting the growth of technology companies.

He has been associated with SmartLunch for many years—initially as an investor and a member of the Supervisory Board, and currently as the CEO. He is responsible for product development and the company's strategic direction. A graduate of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology with a degree in Computational Mathematics. He focuses particularly on scaling business models, working with talented teams, and fostering a culture of open communication and data-driven decision-making.

Our Head of Accelerator, Katarzyna Kowal, spent some time at the 2nd Forum of the National Culture Observatory sharing how helps creatives turn their vision into a business powerhouse. 🌉

From mentorship to deep-dive support, we’re here to show that the arts are a serious player in the economy. So good to see so many familiar faces and new ideas! 🙌✨

Meet the Winners of the Pitching Contest at Big Demo Day 2026 🚀
We are thrilled to announce the winners of the startup pitching competition from our acceleration programs: Startup Booster for Social Impact & Concordia Design Accelerator! The level of presentations was incredibly high, and the final decision was not an easy one. But let’s get to the point – who took home the amazing prizes from our sponsors?

🥇 1st place – Hustro a project and property management application that streamlines the complex process of construction projects and eliminates communication gaps between the construction site and the office.

🥈 2nd place – Elechos - oddajemy czas nauczycielom: a tool designed to diagnose mathematical skills of 7th and 8th grade primary school students, helping schools identify students’ educational gaps.

🥉 3rd place – Planet Heroes a loyalty program for B2C brands that rewards customers for positive environmental actions.

And just off the podium:

🏅 : proprietary AI algorithms supporting the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) and brain atrophy using brain MRI scans.

🏅 : a robotic arm controlled by XR goggles that will make robot operation accessible to a wider group of workers, including people with disabilities, and improve the efficiency of production processes.

Thank you to all the startups for your courage, insightful presentations, and the tremendous amount of work you put into developing your projects during the acceleration programs. The level was truly impressive and a great example of how technology can address real challenges in areas such as AI, MedTech, Climate, and EdTech.
