📊 Measuring What Matters Most: How the Right KPIs Drive Performance
Quality professionals know that stable, compliant processes are not achieved by dashboards alone. When KPIs are always green but performance does not improve, the issue is rarely the metric—it’s how the metric is defined, reviewed, and used.
At this ASQ Puerto Rico Section Dinner Meeting, we will examine why many KPI systems fail to drive improvement and how metrics can unintentionally create the illusion of control rather than true process understanding.
Participants will learn how to:
• Evaluate and challenge ineffective KPI practices within quality management systems
• Properly differentiate and apply leading and lagging indicators to manage performance
• Structure KPI review meetings that enable fact-based decision making, accountability, and effective corrective action
