Our next Trouble Mix by the one and only DJ Trade Trainer is outt 🔥

DJ Trade Trainer is all about playful, joyous, and Black trans* expression. She loves challenging binaries, pushing genre-limits, and subverting her audiences’ expectations. Her work often centers on the complexities of desire and the pursuit of self-definition.
In this mix, titled the “The Long Road Home to Birthday Cake,” is a celebration of one year: moving to Berlin full-time, professionally DJing, and medically transitioning. It captures the struggles I’ve had to tackle, but also the inspiration that this city continues to pour back into me.

The album is a deep dive into a new musical experience, guided by vibrant rhythms and welcoming frequencies that warm the spirit. The album is rooted in Toré, a traditional musical style interpreted here with care and strength, echoing through each drumbeat to create an immersive atmosphere that stays with the listener.
