How do you bring a fictional world off the page? Sometimes, you start with one small piece of metal.
Meet the Keno Disc.
In Fated Suns, the Keno is one of the most common weapons on Soltera. It uses magnetic acceleration to fire jagged metal discs—and because Kenos are locally manufactured, repaired, and customised, each weapon can become as individual as its owner.
For our Kickstarter, we are turning one of those discs into a real object you can hold.
The process began with a flat 2D design. We worked out its shape, proportions, and markings, then sent it to the manufacturer to be translated into a three dimensions rendering.
What came back surprised us.
One unexpected detail challenged how we had imagined the disc from the beginning. Now we have a choice to make before the design is locked for manufacturing. These are the moments we love sharing: when an idea leaves the page, meets the realities of production, and becomes something new along the way.

Soltera is dying in color.
The moon orbits Kethra, an immense gas giant looming over the horizon of the Solven red-dwarf system. Soltera is also the source of the spores, the resource that brought the Vorr and their machines.
They are slowly drawing the life out of the moon while its tribes fight to survive on what remains.
We wanted that reality to shape Soltera without making the world visually oppressive. Its landscapes draw from sulfur fields, salt flats, and brine lakes: bright yellows, mineral blues, sharp whites, and colors that feel vivid without necessarily feeling comfortable.
A difficult world can still be a place people want to explore. For us, that meant resisting the instinct to make every damaged landscape grey, flat, and lifeless.
Soltera holds danger, exploitation, beauty, and the possibility of change within the same horizon. It is where the story of Fated Suns begins, but the landscapes shown so far reveal only one part of the moon.

How do you tease a world that is still being built?
The first Fated Suns poster began with that question.
Created by Studio Ellipsis concept artist Tomas Navikas, the image introduces the Stranger, one of the story’s central characters, against an early view of Soltera’s environment.
The composition holds a tension that shapes the moon. Its people and the industrial force extracting its resources occupy the same landscape, but they do not share the same relationship with it.
We wanted the world to feel vivid without feeling clean. Color gives the image its scale and strangeness, while worn surfaces, machinery, and atmosphere keep it grounded in a place shaped by extraction.
Tomas explored several directions using the story and universe bible as his foundation. This version stayed with us because it holds character, environment, and conflict within the same frame, and leaves each of them partly unresolved.

A player moves through the dark and steps on a noise trap they never saw. The sound awakens something nearby. One mistake becomes a chain reaction, and escape becomes another problem to solve.
These are the kinds of moments that emerge from Nightholme’s systems, allowing every match to tell a different story.

Nightholme is built around control, power, and the loss of self. The further you push, the less of yourself you bring back.
What makes the game unique is the systemic design beneath it. Hear Alex explain why it creates a unique experience for players in our latest Episode https://youtu.be/TP3zl0egr8U
How do you reach the people who might love your game when they have never heard of it?
Steam has tags. Players arrive with expectations. Nightholme refuses to fit neatly into a single box.
Finding the right audience begins with finding the right words.

Meet Lyra.
She is the Tribune of the Scattered Tribe, a people without a territory, dispersed across Soltera but still connected by the memory of what they once were.
Lyra was eight when her parents were killed. Their unfinished purpose became hers: reunite the tribes and stand against the Vorr oppression that keeps them divided. She carries that legacy as both a responsibility and a question: how do you bring people together when fragmentation has become a way of life?

The game build we had when we recorded this could not yet express the idea at the heart of Nightholme. So we had to find another way to communicate it.
The vision is clear and the whole team works hard to make it real.

We believe Nightholme is attempting something genuinely different. The challenge is proving that before the finished game exists.
How do you describe a game when there is nothing quite like it to compare it to?
We explore that question in our latest Episode.
