Each piece is made from precious metals, in small series or as one-off, with artistic timeless beauty created to enhance the wearer. All jewellery is hand made by Dilma Morais with joy, from her studio in Parede, near Lisbon in Portugal. Dilma’s intention for her work is that it inspires the wearer to set an intention before putting the piece on. “I create the work so that it will hold the energy that supports you. For this to have its full power, you can hold the piece & set your intention. Let the piece be charged with your wish and imagine it happening”. After studying Jewellery design in Lisbon, Portugal (1991-1994), Dilma moved to London and worked at Cox And Power jewellers in South Kensington for two years before she become self employed. Her work sold successfully in several galleries. In 2006 she moved to Australia and returned to Portugal in 2017. Amuleto Design contemporary jewellery can be bought directly from Dilma. There’s a friendly happy market near Figueira once a month FAVO
It’s tomorrow, 12/9 from 3-8pm
There are crafts, art works, second hand goods etc, great yummy food and live music. The market is in the garden and there’s a hippy local feel.

I have been doing markets and events here in Algarve. It is quite a lot of work standing in a stall for long hours and some times not selling any item but I like exposing at this lovely restaurant called Encci in Carvoeiro. There is a happy, light, clean and sophisticated atmosphere. I recommend!

And on the day of the solar eclipse, I worked on a large moon shape that I will need to call her the sun eclipse !
It was so much fun to see the eclipse!

There are some recent pieces I have made using a moon shape. One side is smooth and the other has little bubbles just like we see in the moon.
Next week we will have a very special moon eclipse so the timing is great.

I have been keeping them a bit hidden and now it’s the time to show them: recently made rings, each with is personality.
Two created with lace, and the other two simple from a silver bar. One says Expansion and has a garnet, and the other says Amor ( love in Portuguese) and has a green stone which I can’t remember where I got it right now…
