Designed by Edgar Cardoso, it is now classified as Portuguese National Heritage — a true engineering landmark over the Douro River. 🌉

Inaugurated in 1991, the São João Bridge replaced the historic Maria Pia Bridge as Porto’s main railway crossing.
Designed for modern rail traffic, it continues to connect the city across the Douro River. 🚆🌉

Inaugurated in 2003, the Infante Bridge was built to ease traffic in Porto’s historic centre.
With a single deck dedicated exclusively to road traffic, it represents a modern approach to crossing the Douro River. 🌉

Inaugurated in 1886, the Luís I Bridge connects Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia and is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Designed by Théophile Seyrig, it is part of Porto’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🌉

Inaugurated in 1877, the Maria Pia Bridge was designed by Gustave Eiffel and revolutionized railway crossings over the Douro.
At the time, its iron arch was an engineering masterpiece — and a symbol of modernity for Porto.
