Two Carriers, One Family

These two senior cats had only one request: never separate them. They had comforted each other through every uncertain day, and their bond was their whole world. The right family understood that love should never be forced to choose. One home, two beds, two bowls, and a lifetime of companionship—sometimes the greatest rescue is keeping best friends together.

As your cat ages, their testicles form and will gradually descend to their sc***um, the sac of skin designed to hold and protect them. This process of the testicles moving down into the sc***um occurs between 3 to 6 weeks of age.

Kittens that are neutered between the ages of 8 weeks to 6 months will have fewer postoperative complications due to the size and development of the reproductive organs.

Recovery times will be shorter, and cats will have a lower chance of displaying secondary hormone behaviors that occur around 5-6 months of age, such as:

Spraying

Marking

Attempting to escape for mating

Vocalizing

Fighting with others

Mom cats once they have birthed - do search for and mourn their kittens.

Mom will be pushed right back into heat, be impregnated, & tax her body with another pregnancy before recovering from the last.

I’m glad I spent so many years dedicated to feral cats and the kittens born to them, to get a shoulder shrug when someone with no experience is doing the exact wrong thing!

Very disappointed. Sad. And frankly, mad. 😡
