Big news from Tangaj Production! Director Bogdan Theodor Olteanu is preparing his new film, 𝑨 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈-𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑽𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, starring Adrian Nicolae as a police officer pulled into a murder case and a system that swallows him whole. 👮‍♂️

From 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏–𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 will present a full retrospective of Ujică’s work.

We’re especially happy to share that 𝑻𝑾𝑺𝑻 / 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑾𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚 (2024) - Ujică’s own personal reminiscence of the Beatles’ arrival in New York for their 1965 Shea Stadium concert, made with writer Geoffrey O’Brien - will screen as part of the series.

The retrospective also includes a work-in-progress excerpt from his latest film ”Matches and Days”, along with earlier landmarks like ”The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceaușescu”, ”Videograms of a Revolution” (with Harun Farocki), ”Out of the Present”, ”2 Pasolini”, and ”Unknown Quantity”.
