Paws Asylum

Paws asylum is a non-profit organization focused on sheltering and re-homing rescued animals from Romania. Our country has a significant animal abuse problem particularly in the countryside. It is our mission to respond to this general practice of violence against pets by taking the abandoned ones in and striving to find new loving homes for them. Together with our partners we combat the inertia of our country’s veterinary regulation by organising neutering campaigns and educating the public to adhere to this practice as a safe way to stop futile animal suffering. Sometimes stepping in to stop animal cruelty by referring documented cases to local authorities is not enough and we find ourselves lobbying for animal rights within regional or national structures.
