Because some trips are better when they weren’t on the calendar in the first place.

For this edit, we picked five stays we’d check into for a spontaneous city break right now. 🛫

As the way we travel continues to evolve, so do the needs of our clients.
More privacy. More freedom. More meaningful ways to move between places without compromising on the experience along the way.

Hospitality is changing with them.
And some of the names we already know well are moving in the same direction. Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Aman and Orient Express are each creating their own interpretation of life at sea, with very different ideas of scale, privacy and how the journey should feel.

So for this edit, we picked the ones we’d genuinely want to experience ourselves.

We think autumn belongs to smaller cities.

The kind you can cross on foot, where lunch doesn’t need a reservation three weeks ahead and an afternoon can disappear somewhere between an old square and one more glass of w**e.

These are 10 we’d happily book a flight for this season.🍷🛫

Whoever said summer is almost over clearly hasn’t seen the new Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra.

Mandarin Oriental has just added Mallorca to its portfolio, with a new address on a peninsula along the island’s southwest coast.

And because there are hotels we save for later, and then there are the ones that make us start looking at flights almost immediately, this is very much the second kind.

We’re ready to change your flight back home. 💫

We like golf trips better when the non-golfer would book them too.
That was pretty much the starting point for our new series, The Quiet Game.

And where better to start than by the sea? A good course for those keeping score, and plenty of reasons not to for everyone else. ⛳️

We don’t feel like summer is over yet and we know you don’t either.

Padel has officially outgrown the neighborhood club. Around the world, courts are appearing in places you’d happily visit even if you never picked up a racket. Think sea views, mountain backdrops, and resorts where the match is only part of the experience.

Here are a few of our favorites.

A private corner of Saint-Tropez for the kind of summer you wish could last a little longer.

Let us take you there. ManPhil&Co

With one month of summer still ahead, some of our travellers are rethinking where August should happen.

As the last month of summer brings some of the season’s highest temperatures, they are swapping beach days for cooler air, longer days and landscapes that feel a little easier to breathe in.
This is where they’re heading.

Norway has over 1,700 fjords, with the most iconic ones along its dramatic western coast.

Carved by glaciers, they are surrounded by steep cliffs, waterfalls and snow-capped peaks, making them ideal for slow cruises, kayaking and hiking.

Geirangerfjord is one of the most famous, known for its UNESCO-listed landscape and waterfalls like the Seven Sisters.

The Scottish Highlands are one of Scotland’s most dramatic regions, shaped by mountains, valleys, lochs and long scenic roads.

Key places include Glencoe, the Cairngorms, Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and the Isle of Skye.

Located between Europe and North America, the Azores are nine volcanic islands shaped by crater lakes, hot springs and dramatic Atlantic coastlines.

São Miguel is home to Sete Cidades and Furnas, while Pico is known for Portugal’s highest mountain.

The Faroe Islands are an autonomous archipelago of 18 islands in the North Atlantic, located between Iceland, Norway and Scotland.

They are known for dramatic sea cliffs, turf-roof villages, waterfalls and some of the most striking coastal landscapes in Europe.

Iceland’s landscape is defined by contrasts: glaciers beside volcanoes, black beaches, steaming hot springs and waterfalls along the South Coast.

The island is often explored by road, from Reykjavík to the Golden Circle, the Ring Road and the glacier lagoons in the southeast.

Greenland is the world’s largest island, known for its vast ice sheet, Arctic settlements and fjords filled with drifting icebergs.

Ilulissat is one of the main gateways, known for its UNESCO-listed Icefjord and views over some of the Arctic’s most striking landscapes.

Sweden brings together design cities, island landscapes and wide-open nature, from Stockholm and Gothenburg to the forests, lakes and coastlines beyond.
