BIC Lighters Romania Collection — Label Design / Packaging

This year, we worked on turning one of the most familiar pocket objects into a collection of modern Romanian collectibles.

BIC Lighters Romania Collection is a project created for BIC Romania, reimagining the classic BIC Maxi lighter as a small canvas for culture, folklore, and local pride. Moving away from the traditional souvenir “postcard” aesthetic, the collection explores Romania through original illustration, handcrafted visual cues, and bold graphic structures inspired by traditional ceramic painting and the 1975 “Regional Carpets” stamp set.

The goal of this project was to create a premium visual language for an everyday object — transforming a simple impulse purchase into something people would want to collect, gift, display, and share. The designs needed to feel unmistakably Romanian without falling into clichés, speaking both to locals who carry that heritage with pride and to travelers looking for something with real cultural character.
