Together with Romania Luxembourg Business Forum Asbl and Techcelerator, ROTSA is organising a new delegation to help our community meet European investors and explore business opportunities in Luxembourg.

For founders, the programme offers opportunities to meet venture capital funds, business angels and corporate innovation teams.

For investors, it’s a chance to discover Romanian and European companies and meet potential co-investors. Our local partner, RomLux, will support the delegation with introductions throughout the two days.

Your startup could be on the How to Web Conference stage this October. 👀

Spotlight is the early-stage startup program at How to Web Conference, giving startups from Eastern Europe the chance to pitch on stage, meet investors, get 1:1 mentoring and showcase what they’re building.

From all applications, 20 startups will be selected for the Spotlight Semifinals. Each semifinalist gets a spot on stage, a 1-day booth at the conference and access to 1:1 mentoring.

On October 7, all 20 startups will pitch, with the top 5 moving on to the final pitch later that day.

A new €10 million EU funding opportunity is open for cybersecurity solutions with both civilian and defence applications. 🛡️

Managed by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) under the Digital Europe Programme, CYBER-11-DUALUSE will support the development of working prototypes, market-ready products and operational infrastructure.

Startups and SMEs are among the targeted applicants, alongside industrial players, public authorities and other organisations operating across the civilian and defence cybersecurity sectors. The call offers Simple Grants covering up to 50% of eligible costs. Applications may be submitted by a single applicant, although multi-country collaboration can strengthen the proposal’s expected impact.

Applications close on 14 January 2027 at 17:00 CET.

From analysing chest CT scans to interpreting the entire thorax, abdomen and pelvis examination: our alumnus Rayscape is moving into a new stage of AI-assisted oncology imaging. 🩻

Rayscape TAP-CT will be developed through a 36-month project worth 10.62 million lei, including 7.67 million lei in non-reimbursable European funding under the Health Programme 2021–2027. The financing contract was signed with Ministerul Investițiilor și Proiectelor Europene through a company within the same group as Rayscape.

The team plans to develop a 3D model capable of detecting and tracking oncological lesions across the complete examination, then validate and deploy it in real clinical settings. For radiologists, the aim is to bring more relevant information from a complex CT scan into one integrated view, supporting diagnosis and patient monitoring.

Romanian semiconductor technology made its way to Suwon, South Korea, where AMSIMCEL showcased https://HyperPV.com at the Advanced Semiconductor Packaging & Chiplet Show 2026. The event brought together more than 150 companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. 🇰🇷

HyperPV develops GPU-accelerated physical verification solutions for increasingly complex chiplet-based, 2.5D and 3D integrated circuits.

During the event, CEO Catalin Tugui also spoke at the KPIA Seminar about the industry’s shift from chip-level verification towards system-level sign-off for heterogeneous integrated systems.

Our relationship with AMSIMCEL began in 2019, when Techcelerator invested in the team through the Accelerator. We worked together again during the 2022 Investment Readiness programme, supporting the company’s EIC Accelerator application.

Good to see our presenting Romanian deep-tech alongside major international semiconductor companies. 🔬

Less than a year separates a €6,500 contract from contracts worth €1.1 million for DesignVerse.ai. That kind of growth deserves a closer look. 📈

Our alumnus builds AI software for large organizations with complex infrastructure, where generated code must fit existing systems and meet strict reliability and data-security requirements. DesignVerse does this by giving its models access to each client’s technical documentation, component libraries and internal standards.
