Recent public interest data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs analyzed by HVG reveals significant spending on foreign trips:
Rising Costs: Viktor Orbán's foreign trips averaged 19.5 million forints per trip in 2024, increasing to 24 million forints in 2025.
Total Spending: Since 2024, a total of 2 billion forints of public money has been spent on these foreign travels.
Transparency & Travel Habits: Out of 95 foreign trips taken during this period, only 8 were as a special guest (3 by commercial flight and 5 by car), following previous denials of travel data releases citing national security.
VIP Services: The entourage also utilized VIP waiting services 39 times, totaling 37 million forints.
