Ne bucurăm că povestea despre prima ediție internațională și despre mentoratul care a stat lângă fiecare echipă de studenți ajunge la o comunitate atât de mare din construcții. 🙏🏗️

Prima ediție internațională a The BIM Challenge, iar anul acesta fiecare echipă de studenți a avut un mentor lângă ea Între 24 și 29 august, Facultatea de Construcții din cadrul Universitatății Ovidius din Constanța a găzduit ediția a 20-a a The BIM Challenge, prima cu participare internațională în istoria evenimentului organizat de ALLBIM NET.

Dacă vreți să aflați cm a fost la The BIM Challenge 2026, cei de la Zile si Nopti au rezumat totul foarte bine, de la ediția aniversară și prima participare internațională până la mentoratul primit de fiecare echipă.

The BIM Challenge 2026 - Prima ediție internațională Ediția a 20-a a The BIM Challenge, prima cu participare internațională, s-a desfășurat între 24 și 29 august la Facultatea de Construcții din cadrul Universității Ovidius din Constanța.

The BIM Challenge 2026 wouldn't have been the same without the students who joined us in Constanța on a scholarship. Thank you to Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București - UTCB, ProBCA, Cluster TEC, Asociatia Inginerilor Constructori Proiectanti de Structuri, Ordinul Auditorilor Energetici din Romania - OAER and Societatea Romana de Geotehnica si Fundatii for supporting the students' participation.

And this year, we made sure Ukrainian students had a seat at the table too, through scholarships offered by the ALLBIM NET team.

Every scholarship meant one more student living a week of real project work, side by side with industry mentors. Thank you for believing in them!

Different countries, different backgrounds, one challenge.

This was a pilot edition for us, the first time we opened The BIM Challenge to international students, and it happened because a few people believed in the idea enough to make it real.

Huge thanks to Mikko Stachl, Ashef Rahmatullah, Louis Dessainte, and Kostiantyn Protchenko for taking the initiative and bringing your students all the way here. We were also proud to welcome Ukrainian students, who joined us this year through a scholarship we put together to bring them here, as well as international students already studying here in Romania, who found their own place in this challenge, too.

Thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity, and creativity to The BIM Challenge 2026, and for making this experience truly international. We're so happy you were part of it!

For a month you’ve seen posts about speakers, sessions, panels, teams on stage. Today's about the people barely in any of these photos, though they should be in every single one.

The ALLBIM NET team. Some of them joined this year for the first time, got thrown straight into the deep end and figured it out fast, without ever letting it show.

A few sat exactly where this year’s students are sitting, years ago, as participants. Now they're the ones running it. We don't say that lightly: it's kind of the whole point of this event, playing out in real time, and it still gets us every year.

And then some who have been doing this for so many editions now that we know, not just suspect, this event just doesn’t work without them.

Nobody asked for a shoutout. We're giving them one anyway.

Five days, one project each, and now… the results.

🥇 First place: STRABAG Team, mentored by Catalin Andrei. Five days ago, this was a blank page. Today it's a trophy.

🥈 Second place: Concrete & Design Solutions Team, mentored by Sorin Lulciuc. This was close to the top, and every detail of what they built shows exactly why.

🥉 Third place: ALLPLAN Team, mentored by Mikko Stachl, Ashef Rahmatullah & Dessainte Louis. A week of hard work that absolutely paid off. Podium finish, fully earned.

❤️ And the one prize the jury had zero say in: the Public's Choice goes to Asociația Națională a Zincatorilor Team, moderated by Sebastian Jula, voted in by all of you. Democracy, but make it architecture!

Congrats to everyone who stood on that stage. Building something in five days that usually takes months is its own kind of win, trophy or not.

One more thing worth mentioning: Team Clivet Romania's mentor, Marius Luțan, was so impressed with his team's work that he added a special prize of his own for them. But tonight's about the winners, so we'll keep the spotlight on them.
