𝐈𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐭̦𝐚̆” 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐣-𝐍𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚 (𝐈𝐎𝐂𝐍), 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐮𝐥 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐚̆ 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 reprezintă prima inițiativă de acest tip din Transilvania, dedicată managementului pacienților cu sarcoame și alte tumori musculoscheletale.

The 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 has officially begun in 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐣-𝐍𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚, bringing together specialists from across the Balkans and beyond for a day of scientific exchange and discussion.

📌 The opening day focused on key challenges in medical mycology, from the epidemiology of invasive fungal infections and emerging pathogens to superficial fungal infections, Candida and other yeasts, antifungal resistance and advances in fungal diagnostics.

Bringing together perspectives from different regions, the programme highlighted how collaboration and knowledge-sharing can help address the growing challenges posed by fungal infections.

DAY 3 AT PROGRESS IN URO-ONCOLOGY 2026

The final day of Progress in Uro-Oncology 2026 brought together national perspectives on the development of robotic surgery, with specialists from across Romania sharing their experience, approaches and insights.

The scientific programme continued with a series of prerecorded surgical cases covering various techniques, different procedures and approaches, alongside discussions on surgical challenges and outcomes.

The conference concluded with an inspiring lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Ioan Coman, Honorary President, reflecting on the progress made in the field of minimally invasive urological surgery and the journey that continues ahead.

👉🏻 From robotic and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy to 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲, 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐏𝐋𝐍𝐃 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲, the programme brought together live surgical demonstrations and expert perspectives from specialists in Romania and abroad.

The day also featured international online sessions addressing teleproctoring in robotic surgery, oncological outcomes of robotic radical prostatectomy and the evolution of single-port robotic surgery, further highlighting the role of innovation and international collaboration in the field.
