A quick thought as I was reading psalms 111 today. Verse 10 says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever."
Notice the fear of the Lord is the beginning but to have understanding is dependent on putting his commandments in practice. In other words Living a Godly life not just knowing the rules and saying them. I hope we are not Christians in word only but in practice. Many people will say they want to understand things and want God's blessings but they aren't willing to accept what He says as truth. May we all take a look at our life with an honest look and choose to live how Christ wants. God bless

One of the best times back in the states is still getting to spend time with my daughters and grandkids individually. It still is a blessing to me that they want to. They are all different and like to do different things, because God made us all different. None of us are perfect but I still love them and am blessed to call them my Daughters and Grandchildren that God gave us. May we remember to be thankful for the blessings God gave us in our lives and not focus on the negative things going on. God bless.

Was reading psalms 69 today and this thought came to mind when I read verses 12 & 13
12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

When others are speaking against us, there is not a need to get upset and belligerent. What we need to do is go to the Lord. In His timing He will take care of it. I can rest in Him knowing that He knows the truth and has it all under control. This doesn't mean He wants what is happening to happen but it doesn't take Him by surprise and He does know what is best. May we be patient and draw closer to Him in our time of troubles then we will find that peace that passes all understanding and will be a light to others in the midst of a storm. God bless

Reading psalms 67 today and verse 6 says " Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us." I am so glad I can say God is "my God" not just "a god". I hope you can say the same. One day this whole psalm will be true. May we be ready for that day. God bless

Am citit în psalm 62 astazi şi întrebarea pentru noi este. Unde este încrederea noastră?
Verset 2 spune "Da, El este stânca și ajutorul meu, turnul meu de scăpare:" verset 5 spune "Da, suflete, încrede-te în Dumnezeu, căci de la El îmi vine nădejdea!"
Verset 8 spune "Popoare, în orice vreme încredeți-vă în El," şi versete 11 & 12 spune " O dată a vorbit Dumnezeu,
de două ori am auzit
că puterea este a lui Dumnezeu.
A Ta, Doamne, este și bunătatea,
căci Tu îi răsplătești fiecăruia după faptele lui."

Sper că speranța noastră și încrederea noastră sunt în Isus Hristos din cauză El este vrednic, atotputernic şi singurul Dumnezeu adevărat şi ne iubeşte.
Dumnezeu să vă binecuvinteze

Was reading psalm 49 this morning and thinking about verse 15 "But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for He shall recieve me" . It is a great blessing to be able to say with confidence " He shall recieve me" if you know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour we can say this with confidence. May we walk close to Jesus and realize this confidence in our every day life. If you don't know this you can. If you come to Jesus personally and not through religion. There is something that those who live in another culture other than where you grew up should realize. What we see and percieve many times is determined by the culture in which we grew up. Whether it is correct or not is not the issue but it is what is percieved. When some people look at this yard they see beautiful yellow and purple flowers in a sea of green. When an American looks at the yard many times they will think why isn't that yard mowed. Neither is right or wrong but comes from culture. This is just a quick thought about dealing with culture, but for me it makes me think about what is truth and where is it. Simple answer is in the scripture. God bless and have a good day
