Just picked up Falcon gamebooks #3 and #4 by Mark Smith and Jamie Thomson.

Thes are my first Falcon books, so I have no idea yet how closely the stories connect, how deep the game mechanics are, or how exciting the adventures will turn out to be. But the futuristic sci-fi setting looks promising, and I was immediately drawn to the illustrations, which feels like a good start already.

One of my very first Fighting Fantasy maps was inspired by Siege of Sardath. Back then, every line was drawn by hand, and only the coloring was done digitally. Looking at it now, it's a nice reminder of how my cartography journey began.

Back home safely after an amazing weekend at Fighting Fantasy Fest 6!
