Raw data departures are one of the first real tests of crew coordination in the simulator.

With the Pilot Flying focused on maintaining track and aircraft control without flight director guidance, the workload in both seats is high and it can be said that in this situation, the Pilot Monitoring role is the most demanding of the two.
Managing VOR changes, monitoring speed and altitude constraints, tracking aircraft energy, and ensuring the crew stays ahead of the SID at all times requires continuous attention and precise communication.

From the very first exercises, you can already see the true core of the MCC program.

The Pilot Monitoring role is one of the most underestimated aspects of multi-crew operations.

PM is not a passive role. It requires active communication, continuous cross-checking, and the confidence to call out deviations when needed. A well-performing PM is what keeps the crew ahead of the aircraft.

This is one of the first things we focus on in MCC training at FlightPath because good crew coordination starts with understanding that both seats matter equally.

The Navigation Display is one of the most information-rich screens in the Airbus cockpit.

Beyond navigation, it provides ground speed, true airspeed, wind speed and direction, selected heading, VOR stations, and terrain awareness, all at a glance. Knowing how to read and manage the ND efficiently is an essential part of situational awareness in airline operations.

In our A320 simulator, pilots train to interpret this data accurately across all phases of flight.

MCC training is where the mindset shift happens.

Moving from single-pilot flying to multi-crew operations means more than sharing the controls. It means structured communication, defined roles, and a shared responsibility for every decision made in the cockpit.

The goal is not to fly the aircraft. The goal is to operate as a crew.

An ILS approach is one of the most precise procedures in commercial aviation and wind could make it a challenge.

Managing crosswind corrections, maintaining the localizer and glideslope, and staying ahead of the aircraft all the way to touchdown requires a solid understanding of both automation and manual aircraft control.

This is exactly the kind of scenario we train in our A320 simulator: a high-fidelity environment that allows pilots to practice instrument scanning, build decision-making skills, and develop the right habits before facing real conditions.

The ECAM is the Airbus A320's central monitoring system, split into two displays with distinct roles.

The Upper ECAM presents, amongst others, engine parameters and fuel data, primary information that pilots reference throughout the flight. The Lower ECAM displays systems synoptics relevant to the current flight phase, in status page format, giving the crew a clear picture of aircraft systems at any given moment.

Together, both displays work in sync to provide pilots with all the information needed regarding the status of the aircraft at any point during the flight.

Understanding what each display communicates, and when to reference it, is a core part of A320 systems training.

MCC is more than learning to operate an aircraft with two pilots. It’s the transition from single-pilot flying to structured, multi-crew operations.

From PF/PM roles and crew communication to SOP discipline, workload management and decision-making, MCC training builds the foundations needed to operate effectively as part of an airline crew.

Train as a crew. Operate as a crew.

The cockpit has gone paperless.

The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has become an essential tool in modern airline operations, giving pilots quick access to checklists, performance calculations, airport charts, weather information, and operational documents, all in one place.

At FlightPath, our Airbus A320 simulator incorporates realistic EFB procedures, allowing pilots to train with the same workflows they'll encounter in airline operations.

Every flight presents a different challenge, and training should be no different.

From heavy rain and dense fog to crosswinds, night operations, and system failures, our Airbus A320 simulator recreates realistic scenarios that prepare pilots for the unexpected.

Because the best place to experience challenging conditions is in the simulator, long before encountering them in the real aircraft.
