= At the Kitay-Gorod pier after the rain =

My dear guests from Belarus, Victor and Natalya, at the Kitay-Gorod pier overlooking the Moscow River, the Moscow Kremlin, and the skyscrapers of Moscow City at the end of a river boat trip along the Moscow River from the pier at the Kievsky railway station to the pier at Moskvoretskaya embankment.

During the river walk we got acquainted with the sights and views of Moscow - the Bogdan Khmelnitsky Bridge, the Novodevichy Convent, Sparrow Hills and MSU (Moscow State University), the sports complex and the Luzhniki stadium, the Luzhnetsky Bridge, the building of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russian Academy of Sciences), Gorky Park, the Crimean Bridge, the monument to Peter the Great, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Moscow Kremlin and other architectural monuments.

= The Stone Flower Fountain at VDNKh =

The Stone Flower Fountain is located in the central part of VDNKh—on Kolkhoz Square (also known as the Central Alley), directly across from the Ukraine Pavilion.

The fountain opened in 1954, coinciding with the renovated Exhibition of Achievements of the USSR National Economy. A team worked on the project: architect Konstantin Topuridze, sculptors Prokopiy Dobrynin, Zoya Ryleeva, and Valentina Aleksandrova-Roslavleva, as well as engineers Boris Novikov, Andrey Vetkin, and Leonid Kesler.

The fountain's design was inspired by Pavel Bazhov's Ural tales ("The Malachite Box"). The choice of the name "Stone Flower" was also influenced by the proximity of the then-defunct Ural Pavilion.

An interesting fact: the creators initially envisioned a "Golden Sheaf" composition in the center, with figures symbolizing the Union republics. However, in 1951, this concept was transferred to another famous fountain at the exhibition, "Friendship of Peoples." And for the "Stone Flower," they devised a new, fairytale-like theme.

My dear clients, a Russian-Brazilian family from Dubai (UAE), on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge against the backdrop of the Moscow Kremlin architectural ensemble and the Kremlin Embankment of the Moskva River. In summer, the bridge is decorated with colorful flowers, which beautifully frame the composition of the photo.

The Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology in Arkhangelskoye is considered one of the best museums of technology, cars, and motorcycles not only in Moscow but also in all of Europe. The museum displays a magnificent collection of vintage cars and motorcycles from Germany, Italy, France, and the USSR. I've visited this museum many times with my foreign guests, tourists from many countries, and my family, and each time I'm in awe of these luxurious vintage cars, many of which are still running, gleaming in the sun with their varnish and chrome. The museum's stunning collection also includes motorcycles, airplanes, tanks, trains, multiple rocket launchers, goods manufactured in the USSR, and much more.

Музей Техники Вадима Задорожного в Архангельском считается одним из наилучших музеев ретро техники, авто и мототехники не только в Москве, но и во всей Европе. Музей представляет на обозрение роскошную коллекцию ретроавтомобилей и мотоциклов из Германии, Италии, Франции, и СССР. Много раз я посещал этот музей со своими иностранными гостями, туристами из многих стран, а также со своей семьёй, и каждый раз восторженно смотрю на эти роскошные сияющие на солнце лаком и хромом ретроавтомобили, многие из которых «на ходу». Ошеломительная коллекция музея также включает мотоциклы, самолеты, танки, поезда, системы залпового огня, товары, произведенные в СССР, и многое другое.

= European Vintage Mercedes-Benz and Horch Cars =

View of the first floor of the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology, featuring luxurious vintage Mercedes-Benz (left) and Horch (right), as well as the stunning "microcars" of post-war Europe (far center). On this floor, you can also see other classic masterpieces of European automotive design: BMW, Alfa Romeo, Delahaye, Rolls-Royce, and others, as well as American vintage cars dating back to the late 19th century.

Вид 1-этажа музея Техники Вадима Задорожного с роскошными ретроавтомобилями Mercedes-Benz (слева), и Horch (справа), а также невероятные по своему облику «микрокары» послевоенной Европы (вдалеке посередине). На этом этаже можно познакомится и с другими классическими шедеврами европейского автомобилестроения: BMW, Alfa Romeo, Delahayе, Rolls-Royce и другими, а также американскими ретроавтомобили, начиная с конца XIX века.

Yesterday, April 11, 2026, during a tour of Zvenigorod and Arkhangelskoye, I invited my client Karen from India to our country house (dacha) in the village to introduce her to my children and pets, show her how a typical Russian family lives, try Russian cuisine, and show her my farmstead at the dacha. Many overseas travelers were delighted to have opportunity learn about the everyday life of a Russian family.

Вчера, 11 апреля 2026 года, во время тура в Звенигород и Архангельское, я привез свою клиентку Карен из Индии в наш загородный дом (дачу) в деревне, познакомить со своими детьми и питомцами, показать, как живет обычная русская семья, отведать русскую кухню, показать свое подсобное хозяйство на даче. Многие путешественники из дальних стран были в восторге познакомится с бытом русской семьи.

= Red Gate and Trinity Church =
= Красные Ворота и Троицкая Церковь =

Summer view of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, with the Red Gate, the monastery's main entrance, at the center of the composition. This magnificent architectural ensemble was built in the mid-17th century with donations from Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, father of Peter the Great.

One of the first buildings of the mid-17th century, the Gate Church of the Life-Giving Trinity (1651), rises above the gate. During the royal family's pilgrimages, the church became the tsarina’s (empress's) home church. Trinity Church can be considered one of the last tent-roofed churches of the "octagon on a quadrangle" type: in 1652, Nikon became Patriarch of Moscow, forbidding the construction of tent-roofed churches as inconsistent with church canon. To the right of the Red Gate are the Tsarina's Chambers, and behind them rises the wooden tent of the monastery's main and most beautiful tower, the Red Tower.

Летний вид архитектурного ансамбля Саввино-Сторожевского монастыря с Красными Воротами, главный вход в монастырь, в центре композиции. Этот великолепный архитектурный ансамбль был построен в середине XVII века на пожертвования царя Алексея Михайловича, отца Петра Первого (Великого).

Над воротами возвышается одна из первых построек середины семнадцатого века, надвратная церковь Живоначальной Троицы (1651). В приезды на богомолье царской семьи церковь становилась домовым храмом государыни. Троицкий храм можно отнести к одному из последних шатровых типа «восьмерик на четверике»: в 1652 году патриархом Московским становится Никон, запрещающий строить шатровые храмы, как несоответствующие церковному канону. Справа от Красных ворот расположены Царицыны палаты, а позади возвышается деревянный шатер главной и самой красивой башни монастыря, Красной.

Saibal Rakhit, my dear client from Kolkata, India, takes selfies with Russian students on his phone on Red Square during a photo tour of Moscow at night. Foreigners love the Russian hats, dyed in unrealistically bright colors. :-)

I really enjoy photographing people taking happy selfies during travel, holidays, and other events. I'll be starting a separate album, "Selfie Mania," with this photo. I think it will be interesting to revisit these vibrant, interesting moments.

Сайбал Ракхит, мой уважаемый клиент из Калькутты (Индии), снимает на свой телефон селфи с русскими студентами на Красной площади во время фото-тура по ночной Москве. Иностранцам нравятся русские шапки, окрашенные в нереальные яркие цвета. :-)

Мне очень нравится снимать как люди со счастливыми лицами делают селфи во время путешествий, праздников, и других событий и мероприятий, с этой фотографией начну публикацию отдельного альбома «Селфи-Мания», думаю будет интересно пересмотреть эти яркие интересные моменты.
